Summers Posted 11 May, 2009 Author Share Posted 11 May, 2009 What are we exactly waiting for now, As I understand two bids are on the table. and a third is ''possibly'' in the process of due dilligence. Only got to choose a preferred bid haven't be?

dubai_phil Posted 11 May, 2009 Share Posted 11 May, 2009 I think Weston said on Saturday that there was only 1 written bid received for the time being. It seems that the main problem is that the PR bombardment has not of yet been backed up by a written bid by Pinnacle, leaving as Weston says, one bid on the table. Let us hope that the weekend has allowed ALL the real players time to reflect on what needs to now be done to sort this out and save this club rather than simply getting the most money for the creditors or justifying their PR management budgets. Rocker268 Posted 11 May, 2009 Share Posted 11 May, 2009 I don't think we will hear anything until it has already happened, everything is being kept a closely guarded secret, which only Fry and the bidders know about, so most of the people just working at SMS will know nothing either, which is where most of the rumours seem to come from. ART Posted 11 May, 2009 Share Posted 11 May, 2009 Why don't people just look at the other clubs who went into Administration and how long it took for a deal to come to fruitation. 3 months, 6 months,?? We're talking about less than 3 weeks since Marc Fry began working on sorting things out. All got themselves into a frenzy due to his talk of us not having much time to keep the Club itself afloat. Sadly, the majority have given up on all action to raise sufficient funds to keep going due to all the stupidity of false ITK's and optimists who think the takeover is a done thing. Probably the first news we can hope for is that the council have agreed to buy out the Stadium. After certain relegation to League One I can believe this is the major stumbling point. Why aren't folk pressurising the Council to do the right thing. Are they waiting for the local and European elections before coming to a decision? Laurie's All Star Match is going to be far more necessary than anyone posting on here realises. He's not my favorite cup of tea these days, but at least someone does realise how touch and go the situation is. There will be no news before that game and very likely none before the end of this month.

Only got to choose a preferred bid haven't be? Whose to say one bid has been recieved ? maybe none, maybe five etc People that claim to know things clearly don't. Window Cleaner Posted 11 May, 2009 Share Posted 11 May, 2009 [quote=TNT;295026 People that claim to know things clearly don't. However I would hazard a guess that any written bids received are unacceptable as they stand and at this time. Whether they will continue to be so is to be seen.
