I don't ever remember Sheffield Utd offering us money for Dyer to be honest. THey certainly didn't this year and I don't think he was ever on loan there before that, he was at Burnley a couple of years back, doubt if they offered 1.2 million for him though. West Ham may have offered us money for him, perhaps as they have to give Sheff Utd a packet of dosh .....

I wouldn't take the article too seriously it claims dyer robbed a Southampton nightclub last year, which shows they don't do a very good job of investigating

There was an agreement that if the loan went well we would take Robertson for 500k and they would pay us 1.2m

And it didn't go well for both parties, so no 'offer' was made and the agreement never moved forward, thus making the valuation meaningless.
