The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?
rallyboy replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
He's got his future in a British steal. -
It looks like the work of a first year psychology student who was asked to make a specific finding using provocative language normally associated with PR and lobbying. I got the impression it was suggesting that those who shows concern about civilians in Gaza don't understand their own thoughts*, which the Brexit thickos claim is patronising, and I've also seen other arguments that concerns about conflicts are only valid if you list concerns about everywhere else at the same time. I still believe that you are allowed to call out war crimes on a case-by-case basis, and I don't support the argument posted earlier that the UK Rabbi is anti-semetic because he linked the IDF with Jews everywhere, I just think he was unwise to use those words. *If you want to confirm that your a little bit thick, just post a confused emoji down the bottom.

Indeed, sadly there are people like that, they're called anti-semites. There are other people who don't approve of civilians being killed for sport, they're called normal human beings.

While the talentless self-promoting Glastonbury twats spouted a load of old shit and could well be charged with offences, is it wise for the UK Chief Rabbi to link the IDF and the international Jewish community as the same entity? To label criticism of IDF war crimes as Jew-hatred is traditionally the lazy last resort distraction of the ill-informed and a tactic of professional lobbyists trying to shut down debate. When he has the moral high ground, I think his choice of language was unwise.

With the state of his CV and his reputation I must confess I thought I would never see the words 'interesting' and Andrew Neil in the same sentence ever again. -

Coal mines, that's what we need, reopen coal mines that were not viable 40 years ago. Farage is a clueless twat trying to guess what stupid people want to hear. oh but RB, you can't call them stupid.... If they believe that spending hundreds of millions of pounds on coal mines is the answer to anything, they are stupid. -
You can't please everyone, but there is an awful lot of stuff that's not for me, and that's fine. Acts that might surprise? Gary Numan - if you're expecting synth pop and Cars, you'll be getting some pretty cool heavy industrial guitar-driven rock. And Lewis Capaldi - that was a proper comeback, fair play to the boy.

The last few cabinets of the Tory carcrash were the most inept and corrupt in living memory, possibly ever - not just overpromoted chancers, there are former ministers who should be in prison. Add in the list of absolute idiots and sycophantic morons who destroyed departments under Boris, and you'd have to go some to beat that debacle, so no, Labour aren't worse yet, by a long way. But I fear they'll give it a try...improvement needed. -

Bye. -
The talking stops, now we get to see Reform actually running things, showing us how competent they really are. Should be interesting.

Fucking scruff, why can't he dress smarter like that nice Mr Hitler, he was always well turned out.

Anyone who trusts promises given by Israel and Iran has incredibly poor judgement, and shouldn't be in charge of anything important.

Is that the aid centres that the US has kindly managed to monetise? What a business plan, you get to gather all your soft targets in one place and make a few quid along the way - disguised as charity, you get tax breaks too.

I heard someone talking about getting their dog a muzzle-refreshing blueberry facial... I know on this day of all days we're not allowed to even suggest that some members of the public are gullible and easily-led into unwise decisions, but in the long history of mongrels, when has a dog ever needed a blueberry facial? Beans for sale.
