At a time when the IDF are under close scrutiny about their actions in Gaza. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-68513408.amp
  2. Your post would be absolutely spot on Badger but for when I say I chose to read the occasional post that doesn’t mean I “accidently” read posts. The word “chose” should have made that clear. The fact that I don’t respond to most of the mean girls posts should be a bit of a pointer that I rarely read any of them (and note I use the word “rarely” which doesn’t actually mean “never”). I did miss that particular post but I didn’t miss the one that said “thank God I am not married to a Muslim.” I didn’t miss the post when he accused all UK Muslims for being complicit in the actions of the terrorists when I was saying that the vast majority of UK Muslims had nothing to do with it. I didn’t miss his use of an avatar using an alt- right meme. I didn’t miss his posts supporting Katie Hopkins when I was attacking her for her far right rhetoric. I didn’t miss his posts defending Tommy Robinson when I posted against his far right rhetoric (despite him saying he didn’t know who either of them was). I haven’t missed his countless posts attacking anything remotely slightly left of centre. Nigel Farage married a German woman. By his/your logic that doesn’t make Farage racist? His posting history makes very clear his deep dislike of Muslims and his support for anybody and anything towards the far right politically. Of course he might just have some strange kind of compulsion to disagree with everything I post (like Weston) but, in my experience, if something looks like a duck, waddles like a duck, quacks like a duck…(it makes them like Lord Duckhunter 😂). It is entirely possible that he isn’t a racist, but if someone supports racists then they are no better. His posting history from years back and more recently indicates someone who is Islamophobic. Having a father-in-law who is Muslim doesn’t excuse his comments. Your posts are usually worth reading but there are times when you slip into the same mode as the pile on crowd, which is a shame. You should be better than that.
  3. I’m not sure what this has to do with you but I will respond anyway. As I have said many times, it is possible to have posters on ignore and still chose to read their posts occasionally. The posts appear when posted and you have a choice whether to open them or not.You also can’t avoid them if another poster quotes them as they appear in their own post. I hope that this helps clarify the situation for you? I’m sorry that you feel more compelled to have a dig at a poster rather than comment on the contents of my post. Are you ok with a major Tory donor making a blatant racist comment and suggesting that an MP should be shot? That seems to me to be a bigger issue. Perhaps you agree with him? More importantly though, still no comment about the Hester situation from the Minister for Women and Equalities, a certain Ms Kemi Badenoch. Update: she has finally made a statement. She was doing so well until the part about forgiveness where there is contrition. There was only contrition because he was called out but hey, they will get to keep his £10m so all’s well 🙄
  4. As a supposed teacher of children you really do lack a grasp on subjects you like to post about. I have posted about the killing of innocent civilians by Hamas and by the IDF. I have posted about the killing of innocent Palestinian civilians more frequently because, as you might know, many thousand more innocent Palestinian civilians have been killed since 7th October. Not only is your point wrong as usual, it is also hypocritical given your well documented dislike of Muslims. You really need to stop this projection. I know it plays well with your simple like minded buddies on here, but it does you no favours. Frankly I would be embarrassed if I were getting likes from the posters who support you.
  5. For the poster who accused me of racism for criticising Kemi Badenoch for her political views and conduct, he might like to compare what I have said to what a major Tory donor has said about Diane Abbott. Now that, hypochondriac, is what is clearly a racist comment. See the difference? https://amp.theguardian.com/politics/2024/mar/11/biggest-tory-donor-looking-diane-abbott-hate-all-black-women
  6. Whilst I am not an expert on the royal family, I believe the perceived wisdom from those on the inside is that Diana committed infidelity first with her body guard, Barry Mannakee.

  8. Lee Anderson to join Reform today? It will be good to have them all in one party. There really should be a by-election when an MP defects to another party though. Its worth noting that only recently he described his new boss as a “pound shop Nigel Farage”. Duckhunter will be happy (by the way, it is not about the cost it is about the principle). He could have switched parties a month after the election, it really doesn’t matter. He was elected as a Conservative MP, not a Reform MP. As someone who says he believes in democracy, his constituents have been denied their democratic choice. If any MP drops down dead or leaves Parliament in the next few months there will be a by-election. We have recently had several by elections but you didn’t stir from your local ale house to complain that they were a waste of money? Technically there may not be an election until early next year anyway, no matter what Sunak has said. Stick to making up names to abuse our manager with eh? P.S. Anderson himself has been quoted as saying if you quit your party you should resign and fight a by-election. Another down right lie by one of the kind of people you vote for.
  9. Does he read your posts on social media?

This is the point. You can kill people but you can’t kill an idea. As has been said many times, all Israel is doing is creating future generations of terrorists hellbent on revenge and alienating supporters. They are also making it more difficult to reach a future, peaceful settlement, but then Netanyahu has made it clear that he isn’t interested in that. I have been following this on another (non football) forum. It is much more diverse than here (fewer middle aged white men) and it started off with a lot of support and sympathy for Israel. Over the last few months that has pretty much evaporated. There is no support for the Israelis at all now and it is all pro Palestinian. Ok, not a huge sample, but the same is happening on the international stage with more and more countries who initially supported Israel now backing off. Netanyahu and his deeply unpleasant government have managed to take a situation where he held the high ground morally to one in which the actions of Hamas have become secondary to the destruction of Gaza and the massacre of tens of thousands of women, children and babies. When you are surrounded by potential enemies it makes absolutely no sense at all to go out of your way to create a situation where your future security could be compromised further. Another child shot to death? What happened to taking care that innocent civilians aren’t harmed? This one was shot in the West Bank. https://www.radiohc.cu/en/noticias/internacionales/349102-israeli-forces-kill-10-year-old-amr-al-najjar-in-west-bank

Absolutely right that this is not a war and that is the main issue here. For the IDF it is like shooting fish in a barrel. The Palestinian people have been herded around a relatively small area of land and have been targeted everywhere they go with no means of escape. They have been denied food, water, medical aid etc. In a war the civilian population can and do move away from the front lines. They can be reached or find aid. They can even make their way to more secure countries. The Palestinian people have no where to go because they have been blockaded for years by the Israelis. Anyone watching the news night after night since last October knows this. To try and pretend that this situation is somehow just another normal armed conflict like say Russia and Ukraine is to try and make excuses for the actions of the Israeli forces under Netanyahu. The reason why so many people are marching or critical of the Israeli actions has nothing to do with hating the Jewish people and everything to do with being sickened at the way large numbers of people are being treated by very well and heavily armed troops intent on raizing their homes and communities to the ground and killing as many of them as they can in the process. This is nothing like a normal war. Netanyahu doesn’t give a flying **** about the hostages. If he did he would take more care in his reprisals against the Palestinian people. The IDF wouldn’t have shelled Israeli homes and a police station full of their own people. To excuse these actions as “messy” is no better than excusing the actions of all those engaged in ethnic cleansing through the ages. This is a deliberate act and has nothing to do with being “messy”. Yes, the actions of Hamas were abhorrent on 7th October but what has happened since is a whole different scenario. Even Israel staunchest allies are now embarrassed by the scale of the deliberate reprisals against women and children and have taken a step back. Hamas are no more effective in this situation than a one legged man in an arse kicking competition. They are not an army. They have no air support. No navy. No artillery. No tanks. They are relatively small groups of terrorists penned in a relatively small area fighting against one of the best armed and drilled fighting machines on the planet. Netanyahu has made it clear he is not going to stop if the remaining living hostages are released. He has made it clear that he is intent on wiping Hamas off the face of the earth but no one knows exactly how many that is and we will never know exactly what is going on and how near he is to achieving that because unlike in “war” outside journalists are not allowed to operate under normal conditions by the Israelis. The only people who can’t see the difference here are those who are totally polarised in their views in support of Israel or who are Islamophobic. Anyone with an ounce of common sense and common decency can understand what is happening and why. This is NOT war. This is ethnic cleansing, pure and simple. And when people follow posts like this with laughing emojis they just make themselves look like a-holes. We have seen in modern warfare just how targeted military responses can be. The Israeli intelligence forces have shown over the years how they can take out individual targets with surgical precision. What they are doing here and now is a carefully planned operation to flatten Gaza and to totally decimate the area to the extent that the living conditions for ordinary civilians no longer exist. Ordinary civilians have been targeted under the excuse that some terrorists may be hiding amongst them. They have even been deliberately targeted when it is clear that no Hamas members are present. Carry on trying to make excuses for what is going on, more and more people see it for what it is.

Heaven forbid Badger, but I was actually referring to a different poster though I guess it also applies to him given his complete disdain towards certain sections of humanity and complete indifference to their suffering. The same individuals still think the death and destruction of tens of thousands of innocent people is worthy of a laughing emoji.

It’s incredible isn’t it? Anyone would think that Netanyahu and the IDF didn’t have a choice in the way that they planned their military response. Still, this particular poster thinks that the tens of thousands of dead civilians deserved all they got because they were wives, children, uncles, aunties, mothers, fathers, grand mothers, grandfathers and friends of the Hamas military. And that doesn’t include their own countrymen and women that have been killed by “friendly fire”. I guess they deserved what they got too for being too near Hamas fighters. Oh, and the two Israeli hostages who were shot whilst waving a white flag and clearly unarmed. Not near Hamas at the time but they had been previously so it is clearly down to Hamas that they were shot dead by their own countrymen. Hilarious.
