The ULEZ scam is a prime example. Sadiq Khan's own researchers stated that the expansion scheme would have a negligible impact on air quality in the suburbs, and having previously stated that he would not expand the scheme here we are. This is a man who travels London in a fleet of 3 Range Rovers and has made £400M from it so far. Anyone who thinks this isn't about money must be deluded (with all respect).

It seems it isn't long before many posts descend into a slanging match. Anyway regarding the no-shows for the sentencing hearings, a couple of suggestions : 1) Sentences either increased or discounts on guilty pleas waived (obviously not in Letby's whole life term case) 2) Any right to appeal waived / prisoners to serve the whole tariff without parole. 3) Certain privileges denied (phone/internet/tv access, food treats etc) That's of course if you believe that the law should not be changed and that a defendant can't be physically forced to the dock. There will be many more less serious cases where this would be an issue, perhaps the victim(s) should be consulted before sentencing?

There could be many more victims as yet uncovered, bloody hell. I'm just waiting for senior managers to try and wriggle out of this one, procedures were followed, lessons will be learnt etc (medical staff who voiced concerns were told to appologize to poor Lucy).

OK, I didn't mean a "brand new" vehicle, more likely a newer post 2006 MY car which would comply. Even with the scrapage scheme of £2k, or a trade in with a dealer,many people will be faced with forking out thousands to upgrade their older vehicle, not to mention commercial vehicles which will drive up costs to businesses.

So what about the many people who can't afford a new car, or the extra £300 a month just to go about their business? Fuck em eh? The Uxbridge election result proves just how unpopular this scam, sorry scheme is. Starmer shit his pants and Sunak is now considering a rethink on his Net Zero timeline. The ULEZ tax will now be extended to other major cities if many councils have their way. You have been warned.
