Massive trolling post or genuinely stupid ? -
Close call for me, but I voted no, purely because if it comes down to having the Liebherrs' money or a new CEO I'd go with a new CEO. If it's just a matter of renegotiating Cortese's deal with a bit more Family involvement, I have no problem with him staying on - especially if they decide to rein in his more megalomaniacal tendencies.
-
No comment further, but I am getting worse. How are there so many well documented places in the middle of nowhere in Canada ?
-
Ha, 8000ish second time, got 5 empty middle of nowhere roads ! Comes to something when you're delighted to identify Australia based on what might be a kangaroo sign at a very oblique angle and are happy at getting a state in America that's reasonably near the Canadian province you're actually looking at.
-
16403 on my first go, helped by a sign saying "KAZAN" and a car park near the Golden Gate Bridge that my dad actually took a photo of in 1994 when we were over there for the World Cup. Managed to mistake Indonesia for Brazil though, despite some apparently Spanish but turned out Portuguese in the sign. They were driving on the right, dammit !
-
I've spent literally seconds this season trying to work out who we're scoring against in random clips this season only for Luis Suarez to wheel away celebrating.
-
Tch, that's SO 2012. We've reached onwards and upwards into not having a clue what the Head Coach is saying nowadays and that's how we like it.
-
I beg to differ, MLG did it just because he can't help himself.
-
I actually agree that "it's a bloody e-petition FFS", but NOT signing it certainly won't achieve anything.
-
I suspect Stone Island didn't want to alienate anyone with a controversial choice of interchangeable branded white trainer in the pic for their website in case they got mugged off or something.
-
Your original point was in no way difficult to understand, not sure why anyone's breaking it down into semantics.
-
Thought he was Cardiff for a second. Any chance they could reword the petition, I don't want my club to play in Coventry. Good luck anyway.
-
This is a pretty funny look :
-
I think I'm interested in the club having access to a massive amount of money (seems to be the case with the Liebherr Estate), a Chairman who knows how to invest it for success on the pitch (which Cortese certainly has done well), and a club which is able to operate as a business without alienating their fans with some petty decision-making (not the best). So I guess I'm on the side of the Liebherr Estate, because massive wodges of cash are much more rare than decent CEOs.
-
And billionaire owners who know lots of successful CEOs.
-
Anyone would think that treating customers with respect was an important element of running a business, or something.
-
Well now I've seen that the BBC also thinks this is a story I'm prepared to consider it a bit more. Difficult to know how to take this, or which side has leaked the info, or what the bone of contention is, or what the issue might be, or whether anyone wants to sell the club, or not invest enough, or whatever. The one thing I am sure of is that if Cortese got moved on, the Liebherrs know plenty of competent people just as qualified as Cortese was to run a football club. But they may not wish to be involved at all. Until more information comes out everything other than "Cortese considering position" is speculation.
-
If I remember correctly your fans booed the team when Saints beat them at Loftus Road earlier in the season under Hughes, which was the worst Premier League performance I've seen from a team since Sunderland turned up at St Mary's and sleepwalked their way to relegation in 2003. They don't seem to have improved one bit under Redknapp despite him chucking £40m at it. Lucky for you the parachute payments are through the roof now and you'll have a couple of seasons to chase the rebound and keep the players who want to do so - instead of immediately having to cull everything. I can only imagine that's why Redknapp's decided to stay on. Or maybe he still gets a cut of transfers and knows there's a few quid to be had there.
-
Some rather large assumptions being made about a throwaway comment at the bottom of a report. If it was an article in itself, maybe something to be concerned about, but even the reporter barely thinks it's news.
-
To be honest, we might make up the £3m difference for finishing 11th-ish in transfer fees by showcasing the likes of Hooiveld, Fonte, De Ridder, Richardson and Guly before flogging them to Championship sides. Come to think of it, Forte, Dickson, Barnard and Sharp's would be eligible now too - assuming we named them in the squad in January (which I can't remember if we did). Obviously Fox is suspended and Chaplow injured. But I'm not suggesting we pick that team. Though we could probably incorporate a few of them if we really wanted. I think a run for Ward-Prowse and Mayuka might not be a bad idea, the other thing Pochettino might want to do is put some doubt in the minds of the regular starters about their "guaranteed" places, in order to drive their preseasons to new levels. Who knows ?
-
He picked him, even after he fell out with him and told him he wouldn't play again. He also signed the completely useless Tal Ben Haim as backup in that position (and then played him elsewhere), decided Bosingwa was preferable to Nedum Onuoha, and apparently that signing a fourth left back, from Korea, was also more important.
-
Clearly not.
