It is being made out to be more of an issue than it is? It's not an issue for you because it does not affect you... for the people that it does affect, it's a MASSIVE issue, are you too pig ignorant to not notice this? Are you showing off? And you are commenting on status's because you think they are tedious? How retarded is that? Seriously. The majority might not be that bothered... correct, there is still a vocal minority that are though, and I don't understand why people such as yourself would go to so much effort to shout down those that need the installment plan apart from being a complete and utter c*nt, as whether there is an installment plan or not does not affect you in any way.
-
How about you answer my questions first... then I will come back to your question.

So now you are comparing having a Season Ticket to having a Credit Card? Answer me this question: What is your obsession with trying to shout down Saints fans trying to get a better deal for other Saints fans? Same question to all the others that stick up for Cortese and the removal of the payment plan. Why can you just not let the people affected get on with their complaints and trying to get something done about it, rather than commenting on every post about it? Would your opinion be the same in the pub talking to your mates / people affected and unable to renew? I doubt it.

It's not. I promise you that ( I was going to PM you the reason but you are only a registered user ).The club have been previously looking at a swipe card system but the decision on whether to have an installment plan of not is completely irrelevent. They could have done it over 3 months, 1st week of June, July and August for example... all money would have been collected before the start of the season. The reason for the delay and the short renewal window is intentional, I am absolutely 100% certain on that. -
Having a facility removed, deliberately at short notice meaning hundreds, if not thousands of people cannot get a season ticket that they and their children/family have had for years is not f*ck all though is it? It might not affect you, congratulations, I am happy for you. It does affect alot of SOUTHAMPTON FANS, Cortese can do pretty much whatever the f*ck he wants as far as I am concerned, but I will kick off if I feel he is directly ripping me off.

Yes, and I have done it in a constructive way, without the need to release press statements and the like.

It's not a fact, the only reason there is no credit checks is because it is the law that you cannot deny someone a basic utility. If you pay for something AFTER you have used it, then it is a credit. ( By the way, I happen to work for a Energy utility company ) I am not hiding behind my PC... I have met people off here who have taken issue with me, I have met people at the club who have taken issue with me... I just don't want to be another Nick Illingsworth and have no intention of speaking to any newspaper or tv/radio. Look at the gobsh!tes that have been on the threads I have posted... I could not give a t0ss what people think about me, if anyone has issues with me, I have always said they can take it up with me in person... so hiding behind my PC you cannot say I do. -
And whilst being the funnyman cyber-warrior, what you are actually doing is bouncing the thread back up to the top. Well done. x

Starting a petition or sitting back on it is never going to work to be honest, mainly due to the complete arrogance of most Saints fans not affected. ( I don't believe they feel like that in real life though, just like to flex their financial muscles on here ). And I am hardly sat p!ssing and moaning about it, I have spent hours (literally) researching pretty much everything to do with Installment plans and covered pretty much every excuse that the club might give for having one. As for the Saints Trust, it is indeed dead, and they should shut it down, it's used as a platform for people to get publicity, then again I have been saying that for the past 3 years.
-
You have a real issue with pretty much anyone who takes a stand against the club. It makes you come across as a bit bitter or jealous. ( For the record I absolutely f*cking detest the Saints Trust with a passion and it should be closed )
-
Very mature.
-
If I was you, I would make it £40... just to make sure. For the record, so will I... however I am certain we will have a payment scheme next season, as the club cannot guarantee success... so instead need to guarantee crowds.
-
Don't be silly. It is that attitude which will let the club walk all over us. I won't be walking around treading egg shells just because he was involved in the takeover of the club.
-
He was in Malta for 2 days out of the last 10, and there is still other people working at the club that could release a statement on his behalf. To just ignore the concerns of Saints fans is treating them with utter contempt. There is sufficiant outrage at the club from fans to warrant them needing to come out and state what the hell is going on and explaining their position. They have removed a scheme which every single other club with a support our size uses, deliberately with no notice, I have proven it can be implemented at zero cost...
-
To be fair, he has released a statement... or more to the point, the Echo probably contacted him for a statement because they to run a story.
-
Can you point me in the direction of the other thread about Championship season ticket prices? Sorry, I must have missed it...
-
No A large utility company, whom have offices just round the corner from where you work. ;-)

Don't get pedantic. It is a credit, you use before, pay later, a credit, although law states you cannot deny someone a utility so there is no credit checks, but if people don't pay then a PREpayment metre can be installed, then it no longer becomes a credit. Unlike Nick, I have no want whatsoever to be in the paper or on the TV thanks, I have complained to the club on behalf of myself. And pushed my point across on a internet forum... big deal. -
It is criminal, but at least the option is there, there is no need to charge 19.9%, but to be honest, it's better than nothing I guess, people dont HAVE to take that. I didn't check through League 1 because the Championship would better reflect our situation due to some of the very low amounts of STH's in L1 meaning there wouldn't be demand for an installment plan.
-
Just to give you an idea of the ticketing currently in the Championship and what to expect ( hopefully for next year, I have looked at the offers available for each club. Ticket prices are based ont he cheapest Adult season ticket, excluding family sections of the ground, so the equivelent to the Northam. Also you will notice that nearly every club has an installment plan. Cardiff do not have tickets on sale. Doncaster state they don't have an installment plan because they do not have the demand for one. So are we all agreed now that the installment plan has not been removed for business reasons, or do you think all of these clubs whom have a payment plan are wrong? Bristol City £260 £15 admin fee, interest free Coventry £275 Internal Payment Scheme S****horpe £285 20% deposit and 4 monthly installments. Barnsley £299 Premium Credit Installment Plan Doncaster £320 No Installment plan ( due to lack of demand ) Crystal Palace £330 10 monthly installments 18.9% Watford £340 Ticket Office Installment Scheme - 6 months, 5% charge Burnley £345 Premium Credit Installment Plan Derby County £350 16.5% APR 4-10 months Nottingham Forest £361 Interest free up to 12 months. Preston North End £365 Ticket Office Installment Scheme Ipswich Town £368 8 months interest free plan. Millwall £368 8 months. 19.9% Interest Sheffield United £369 6 months. Service charge between £15 and £25 Middlesbrough £370 5 months interest free plan. Reading £375 10 months 18.9% Swansea City £375 Ticket Office Installment Scheme Leicester City £380 Up to 9 months plan. £4 charge per month. Norwich City £389 Interest free up to 12 months. Portstmouth £399 3-6 month plan. Interest/Admin Fee QPR £399 10 month 18.9% or 3 months Interest Free Leeds United £450 5 months interest free plan. Cardiff City N/A Sold 5,000 Season Tickets only. Hull City N/A 3 month payment plan As for the season ticket prices, it looks a very competitive league with regards to season ticket prices and hopefully gives us an idea of what we will be paying next season. All installment plans are either internal or administrated by Zebra Finance or Premium Credit Ltd Edit: Actually Cov do have a scheme. So only Doncaster do not have one.

No. You have already paid more money on a pro-rata basis than the value of tickets for the games you have watched. So it's not credit. Council tax is not credit, your insurance premiums are not credit, your season ticket is not credit. Your phone bill is credit, your gas and electric bills are credit etc etc -
What contract are you on?! My notice period was a minimum of one year... at the point of 'signing on' again, it was 2 years.
