  1. Day 2 done. Liver is still aching like a *****... today wasn't too bad because I worked half of the day.... getting a tad worried about this weekend though. Friday - Pub with a friend. Saturday - Pub with a friend who is a beer monster ( even though she is a bird ) Sunday - Pub to watch a comedian with mates. Monday - Football Now THAT is going to be one hell of a test!!!!
  2. It would be much more flexible, if there were not toilets on the coach, then stops would be made when needed. The problem with the Travel Club is that the person paying is not on the coach to tell them what to do, so coach drivers tend to take the ****, geting back from Wembley is taking the ****** and if it was requested and he refused, I would speak to the club. The good thing with an independant one is that you have payed for their time, so you can stop when you want and the payer ( me generally ) would be on the coach to make sure this happens.
  3. That may well be true... but it's the happy clappy people that let you down... is impossible to pick the good ones and the bad ones without a very time-consuming x-factor style audition. One other way to keep mongs off the bus which I have been thinking about including is a 'Coach Trip' style eviction. If you have 10 people on the coach complain about you being a tard... you get a yellow card, if it happens again, you are banned from using the coach.
  4. That wasn't the only reason... the Travel Club were £5 more for a reason... they are luxury coaches. If people wanted a ****** then they would have had to pay for the privelidge... not only that, coach drivers of luxury coaches are far less likely to let you take drink on board... So the choice actually was £25 each and no beers on board. Or £20 each, no toilets and drink on the way.
  5. I may well pilot the service for Yeovil, if not then definately Gillingham, if it goes well then will launch a full service next season.
  6. If by some miracle we get to the play-offs... then I will be running 10 coaches from various locations to the Green Man this time. Already emailed the landlord to confirm.
  7. Big difference... I have not once stated that I am doing it for the fans ala Saints Trust, I won't be releasing details in the local press, I won't be setting up any organisation nor will I be doing interviews for the Echo... I see it as a gap in the market... I think I have made it quite clear that my motivation for doing it is not to be some sort of saviour, and also, on all of your Saints Trust threads haven't I said that you don't need to be part of an organisation to organise things like this for fans... guess what... I done it. Got 150 people to Wembley and back, all loved their day, not a bad word said ( and all knew I was making a few quid ). Now to get 150 people to Wembley and back I didn't need to go and meet the board, I didnt have to speak to the Echo, I didn't start up an organisation and make myself Chairman. Just goes to show what I always said... you don't need Saints Trust, TSA or any other organisation to achieve things. So.... I am lost on the irony.
  8. I think half the problem is the police why people don't do it nowadays. The powers they have now effectively push you around wherever they want, regardless of whether you are likely to cause trouble or not. This could mean that you could end up selling tickets promising pub stops here and there and the police could escort you to and from the stadium, and effectively ruin your day. Swansea away last season ( maybe season before ) for example... our minibus was stopped on the motorway and escorted all the way to the stadium, where we were locked in a cage 1 hour before the turnstiles opened, and locked in after and escorted out again... for no reason other than it was lads on a minibus.
  9. I would have a guess that you could go to pretty much any pub in the Wembley area and have a pub experience with loads of other Saints fans... for free. Just a guess, like.
  10. Nightmare is not the word... I was still owed over £400 on the day when I had paid for both coaches out of my own pocket 2 weeks before.
  11. That was a joke and a little touch of sarcasm Lance... they were the only coaches available. Travel Club snapped up all of the with toilets in the area ( as it's part of there t's and c's ) . I have stated a few times on here that there was £60 made on the first coach, with respect mate... you try collecting £19 off 53 people... takes alot less hassle to charge £20. And it was £5 cheaper than the travel club. The spare money was used to tip the landlord of a certain pub for him to open up before departure, but the police found out and put a stop to it, for the record. So... I didnt actually make a bean out of my mates... if thats what you are saying. The other coaches wasn't close mates and the only reason I put it on was because I got such a good price on it... bloody right I should as well! I would never rip off mates... but won't think twice about making money out of fellow Saints fans, and not even slightly ashamed to say that. And... it's not ripping anyone off when the coaches were £5 cheaper than the so-called 'non for profit' Travel Club! Also remember I didnt have 30 lads to organise a day for... I had 150!!! I was going to message you about DJ'ing at a function... can I assume now your cost will be free mate? ;-)
  12. With all respect, I am not proposing a 'casuals' bus... this is a serious thread about a serious subject and putting the idea of an adults only travel club for people who do not enjoy the family atmosphere of the Bingo Bus. Although some people on here won't realise it, there is a very large proportion of Saints fans who want to go and have a few pints before and after and do not want to spend their day with children and pensioners ( no disrespect ) . And that is probably one of the main reasons people do not use the travel club.
  13. It was amusing, it was about 6pm, our coach was loading up ready to go when we saw this girl giving her boyfriend one almighty b*llocking waving a foam hand in his face... I see the bloke around all the time and I am sure he posts on here... just can't remember his name... t'was funny though.
  14. Coach 1 was like that on Sunday. Proper bus... 53 people on board and not a Saints shirt / Facepaint in sight. Got some funny looks from Saints fans wondering who the fook we were supporting when driving in and out of Wemberrrrrrrrrley. Probably too harsh a rule to enforce on this service though... although anyone in facepaints will be left at a service station on the way.
  15. Yes, porn will be acceptable as a choice of viewing on the way to the game. Infact anything within the law goes... :-)
  16. Was it not you in the Green Man having an argument with some bird with a big foam SFC finger?
  17. And it didn't work out £3 anyway because 2 seats were empty. There was a MASSIVE profit of £60 on the first coach, for the record. And as you know, I spent alot of the time rounding ******ed up people to go on the coaches. I think everyone enjoyed the day though.... my fookin liver didn't! :-(
  18. After running a few coaches to Wembley with 100% customer satisfaction ( take note Silverspoons ;-) ) , I have been thinking about the possiblilty of re-launching a supporters Independent travel club, but not like the ones previously done. These coaches will be aimed at blokes ( and girls ) who don't use the travel club for a number of reasons, alot of it being the polite 'family' atmosphere on the buses etc and the Bingo Bus culture. For the bigger games I would be looking at setting up coaches which: - Are Over 18's only. - Stop off at a pub at least 3 hours prior to kick-off. - 1 hour stop in a pub on the way home. - For Northern games packages including hotel stayovers. They will be run at the same or less cost as the travel club when on a like for like basis ( northern stopovers will be more ) What are peoples views? Would you use a more 'fashionable' coach travel? What would make you want to use this service?
  19. Indeed, thanks... £20 for a coach which picks up and drops off from Romsey ( the taxi to the central station in the morning from Romsey would have been that alone ) , away from the busy coach park, in a pub which would probably be closer than Silverspoons in walking distance... with own section of pub cordoned off on arrival to ensure our coaches got their first beer in sharpish. and the opportunity for a couple more pints before leaving home. And all in all, not a single person has had a bad word to say about the pub. Stu Romsey 1 Nick Ill 0  Or pay £25 to sit on the bingo bus, straight to the ground, straight back again. Anyone that things £20 was a rip-off can jog on. :-)
  20. The Echo were quick to report it prior... I wonder if they will be reporting how the 'event' went after? I very much doubt it, they wouldn't want to risk their chummy relationship with NI
  21. Day 1 done, absolutely no problems, even went on a lunch date to a pub and had diet coke. Mind you, I was feeding a hangover so the look of beer or smoking wasnt appealing.
  22. When they can't f*cking do something as simple as hold the stick up straight so they end up stroking my fookin head for 90 minutes with the thing.
  23. in other words..... ..... they worked.
  24. Don't worry... I have listed a number of reasons why it was either miss-sold or the customer was not given the full value of the ticket.
  25. Seriously? Are you taking the ******? Even the other bloke from the COYR site said it was a business venture. Lies were printed when advertising to generate sales, NI says he has been there before... NO EXCUSES Everyone is legally entitled to a refund... and should get one. I hope they have put it through the books as well and paid the relevent taxes.
