Ron's drawings used to be on the walls etc at the Old Supporters club at The Dell. Did they get moved to SMS or were they auctioned -

Problem with Stern is he is not mobile enough for the style we are trying to play, his control is not brilliant and players making runs past him will be exposed if he cannot control and pass

it is just your use of adjectives like massive , that concern me. I have never made a secret of the fact that i want all 3 of them (lowe, wilde and crouch) gone and just because lowe is better than crouch does not make him a super businessman imo. and anyway you just like to have the last word. ps have you seen Rich lately , i am concerned by his lack of thoughts over the summer -

What he is doing goes on every day in thousands of businesses around the world, cutting costs is a daily occurrence. Based on your logic when RL pops his clogs the business will go bust -

Cutting costs to make us stable could be achieved by thousands of Accountants around the country it is not , imo, a massive feat. The massive feat will be to combine the cost cutting with producing a successful product, ie team, which generates more income than expected in the budgets. The Chairman/CEO is responsible for the performance of the whole business, he has control of who does what and that applies equally to a football club as it does to any other business -

Disagree that cutting wages etc is a massive feat, it will only be a massive feat if we have a successful season on the pitch. The fact Rupert can cut costs and Crouch did not does not IMO make it a massive feat -
Only time will tell about Jan's motivational skills but as my Dutch friends told me at the time of his appointment, expect one good first season an average second season and then say good bye because he struggles to motivate players once they get to know him. Probably a lot of Managers like that

Totally agree it is the blind allegiance which confounds me. I really believe that youngsters should be given a chance but to have a chance they need experience around them on the pitch. A few injuries/suspensions could lead to the whole starting 11 being untried youngsters
-
22 players on your list, 10 of which are completely new to this level. 4 injuries and 2 suspensions , at the same time and we are down to 16 players , 10 of which could be novices.
-
With Saga gone and indications that Rasiak, Skacel and Davis may follow , will we really be struggling if we have a couple of injuries or suspensions. With Michael Svensson , apparently, only playing Saturday games are we going to be spread to thinly especially at the back or will Wotton fill in as and when until Davies is fit because i am not convinced by Thomas's abilities. I am looking forward to the season but concerned that unless we can field our best 11 we may struggle

tell my sons one game does not make a season

Just had an e-mail saying it is time to renew my membership for £10. Should i do it ? or just accept that SLH Plc is effectively a private company run by one man supported by 6 others, irrespective of what he does.

Problem with that is we could turn paying customers away, because different oposition will lead to fluctuations in Home fans going to the game. I assume that if we get to within 1000 of capacity with pre bought tickets then procedures will be put in place to open a corner for walk ups
-
I assume the 21k for Birmingham includes the away fans or else we must be getting near the point when a corner will need to be open
