  1. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/9379881.Arrest_warrant_issued_for_Pompey_owner/ Oh dear! lolololol
  2. Exactly Dibden. If we lynched every company that sought to take advantage of its potential customers there would be nothing left! Also, it would be punishing those who use the service as a short term stop gap loan and pay everything back on time! These things need to be left to the customer to make an informed choice (which it is based on the very clear adverts) and take the consequences. i appricieate the point about protecting the vulnerable but we should not apply blanket policies to the masses based on the needs to a minority.
  3. I have no problem with it. These companies are up front about the costs and the idea of this kind of loan is to have it to tide you over for a few days - not weeks or months. Over the timescales this time of loan is designed for, the costs are not that much. They charge for a service - thats it! If you want a longer term loan at a more affordable interest then don't use these types of service - wrong tool for the job. Yes, if you lose your job you could find yourself in trouble but then you should only be using this type of financial service for a few days max and not as a long term financial solution, and should not have got the loan in the first place if you did not have all eventualities covered. People need to take responsibility for their own actions and if they are mug enough to have to pay back 17 grand from a one grand loan then they deserve what comes their way IMO.

    Sam Baldock

I heard this from a mate of mine too
  5. Got mine from London £38 quid first class! Happy Daze! Hopefully there will be a free bar!
  6. I also think its ********.
  7. No way! I like him as a play actually - well i did during the Wigan/Fulham Days. I have it on v good authority though that he is a total and utter nutter. Doing all sorts of craziness in the dressing room and elsewhere, practical jokes and the like. Some players liked it and found him hilarious, others did not. There is also a significant reason that his contract was terminated. Nothing ground breaking but not the kind of behavior we want or need. And he is past it now anyway.
  8. How exactly do you apply for membership? A steward friend of mine used to sneak me in a few years back and I thought it was pretty good but I could never fathom how you became a member. Bit expensive now if you ask me and drinks are hardly cheap!
  9. I do but cannot PM. please email broachy84@gmail.com. thanks in advance
  10. Saw your thread about a spare ticket a few weeks ago! Glad you got there in the end! Despite my envy!
  11. Ah right. That will teach me not to be a cheapskate and pay the subscription in future. email me on broachy84@gmail.com. think I am gonna run out of posts for the day soon
  12. That sounds like a plan. I finish at five. PM me. Any one else fancy it?
  13. I too am going it alone tonight. There are a few decent pubs around london bridge - The George and the Bunch of Grapes are a couple of good ones but there is not much to keep you occupied if you are on your tod IMO. Think I am gonna head straight to Charlton after work and fine somewhere with football folk - most likely the one Sour Mash mentions for some atmoshere and watered down lager
  14. Hilarious!!!!!!!!! Made my afternoon. Keep it up guys!!!
  15. Totaly agree! So many on here are living in a dreamland! Dreamland does sound nice I have to say, but it not the real world which unfortunately we live in. Atkins is a solid appointment who I think will be able to build on the team we have which despite the recent results is a very good side in League One. I honestly think all the team needs at the moment is a shot of confidence and the ability to break teams down you stick 11 men behind the ball. Do that and we will win games and start climbing. Atkins will be able to bring this in and hopefully Monday wil be the start of a new era and I for one am looking forward to Wednesday night!
  16. I think that Nicola is simply running the club as a business. With the exception of the spat with Le Tiss (which I think has gone on too far and too long) I do think he has got all the decisions right from a business perspective. This does not mean that I like paying a booking fee - I hate them when booking any sort of ticket but I can't deny that from a business perspective it makes sence. I don't know enough to comment on the photography saga to really comment but again from a business perspective I can see the logic behind it. My general feeling is that we went for so long being run very badly by messers Lowe and co that I find this an honest and refeshing change. For me the stories that we are hearing about Nicola's relationship with Markus and about Markus himself re-affirm that honesty and I have to say I find it a breath of fresh air. I hope that this as much as anything else is Marcus' legacy for the club in the long term.
  17. RIP Markus. Saints Legend.
  18. same. would be amazing! thanks. david.broach@hotmail.co.uk. thanks in advance
  19. Anyone know how many we took to cardiff cup final in 2003 just out of interest?
  20. Got 'em! God bless this forum!
  21. on hold now. thanks!
  22. I have thought that too. I think we need at least six new players to be competitive especially with the -10. The manager issues needs to be sorted ASAP to give whoever it is a fighting chance of finding the players and getting them to gel before the Millwal game. Time is very much against us IMHO.
  23. Good luck Mark! Although I think this is the best decision for the club I do thi he has been fantastic over the last few weeks and his loyalty, when he could have accepted a very well paid job in Eqypt, should be commended. Thank you and best wishes COYR
  24. FWIW I think that we have caught the FL out by being very very clever! But I think this is a battle we just cant win in this way. 10 points is not a massive obstacle, especially with a fantastic chairman, manager and support that we have/will have with this take over. I doubt we will incur a CVA(?) penalty as we are surely going to right off all our debts with the new owners. So why not take it on the chin and battle through next season. Yeah we were hit hard by the FL but we will give it back twice as hard if Pinnacle put their money where their mounth is / words into action! I guess it is a question as to whether we want to be a martyr for this cause? Many heros in the past have stood up and been remembered in legend. But at the end of the day am I or we brave enough to sacrifice everything for the cause? Not just for Saints but for Bournemouth, Luton an all the rest? I love my club and Im looking forward to next season. Im just not sure that im willing to risk that for the points. Thoughts?
