I've seen £35m mentioned. No idea who is paying that.

In general, the players happy to renew contracts at SFC are probably players we shoudn't be offering new contracts to.
-
to be fair Walker offered zero going forward and we weren't exactly being tested at the back. Part of Englands problem is we get nothing from either fullback. One decent cross apart, Trippier gave us nothing. Walker is limited, which is OK, but we cant have that on both sides.

compared to the absolute shit show of the last game he's right. One or two passes actually went to a team mate tonight.
-
Palmer has looked bright.

Is Guehi really better than Konza?

suspect a little insight into your menu would be about as interesting as the evening gets for most on here.

Hmmm, not sure about your Bellingham conclusion, but he's been terrible in this tournament so far. He had some poor games for Real towards the end of the season too. He appears to have a completely free role, a bit like at Real, so you can't even point to him being played out of position. Think Foden has looked extremely bright in this game.. Easily our best player in the first half.

Good sub. Gallagher ain't good enough.
-
that seems to be the housewives favourite move, but when is the last time he played in that deeper role?

one day we will hand out a contract to a keeper we rate. Gunn McCarthy Bazunu Lis Lumley Lumley McCarthy

Lots of talk of Matty Cash going to Milan, so maybe an opening.
-
Alternatively, the club will see it along the lines of, sell him now and we have 25m to reinvest, wait twelve months and we have to find his replacement on a free (or certainly without funds coming in). I'm sure the manager would want to keep him, and add genuine competition, but we don't exactly hold all the cards.
-
It's worth remembering that he was pretty poor during our relegation season, which perhaps explains why no one made us an offer too good to turn down. Slightly different now, with only a year left, but we are probably not going to get a fortune for him. What kind of figure do we accept, as it's not good news if he walks for free next summer.

I think II Kerulet UFC play tyro league equivalent youth football, so I am ever so slightly concerned about the accuracy of this probability figure.
-
I suspect we prevented him moving last summer simply because we set a pretty high sale price refused any low-ball bids from Prem sides. I'd be amazed if half the Prem didn't drop his agent a line and ask what the asking price was likely to be. This summer our price will inevitably have to come down as he enters his final year and those same Prem sides may feel that revised price is more reasonable/realistic. From KWPs point of view, there seems little point in signing a new contract now. He may as well sit tight and see what league we are in next summer.

He seems very Lallana-like. Lacks a yard of pace but has lovely feet. Looks like he wants to have the ball all the time. Not sure we have that type of player, so ideal addition. Obviously a slight concern whether he can have the same impact a the higher level, but thats the gamble we will have to take,

To be honest I don't watch enough football. Omar Richards is my only suggestion. He was tremendous at Reading, was always going to struggle to get games Bayern Munich, but he did OK. Obviously he's had a nightmare with injuries, but he appears to be back on track. Like KWP he has the skill, to drop his should come inside and get out of tight spots. That gives you a chance to beat the press. Very interested to hear of other recommendations.
-
I like him, but I am a sucker for pacey and skillfull attackers. I'm happy to give him another season and look forward to seeing him run one or two fullbacks ragged next season.
-
there's only about three sides they can sell him to. The championship sides can't take on his three year Prem size contract, so that perhaps only leaves the three promoted sides. If they see him as surplus to requirements, it should be a relatively simple deal to make, fingers crossed.
-
Sheaf for Cov might work. If we can get Downes for just £12m, I'd get Sara from Norwich too. We would really be upgrading hat central position, which is so critical. Loan Charles out for a full season in the championship, which IMO he needs.
-
not necessarily. Talks may have happened, maybe a contract offered, some mulling it over, maybe he has said yes, we'll then get the marketing stuff done and pick our moment to announce. Time will tell. A fair amount of smoke.
-
Who was their most expensive? They were miles off the pace last season, coming 6th and only getting 56 points. They got 78 the season before (came 3rd) and that was from 2 less games. They scored a lot less goals too, so maybe they feel they need to make a big splash and weaken an opponent too. Can't see it though.

aha. I failed with Nicolas Jackson, wasn't given enough time to press home my desire for Kvaratskhelia and am slightly relived Beto and Scamacca didn't bear fruit, but this is the one. He has a £34m release clause, but there's been no takers at that price and Braga need to sell. The only issue is other `bigger' clubs might take a punt is their first choices go elsewhere. Shankland and Brereton are more realistic and might be just what we need, but always like a `exotic' signing.
