Interesting. You would think a relegation clause would be an industry standard by now. It's not as though all clubs haven't seen the likes of Rodwell's wages putting a strain on a relegated side's finances. Stu is out of contract in the summer. No one is paying a fee for him or be willing to match his current contract, so he won't be departing in January. If we wanted to offload KWP, I'd of thought we would have done in the summer. Despite relatively little paper talk in the summer, I suspect many clubs would have enquired and been put off by our `high' valuation.

18 months left of his contract. No doubt his agent has asked about a new deal, so perfect time for there to be 'interest' from other parties.

In general, Prem players don't really push for loans to the Championship clubs. Besides, what he wants and what Bournemouth need are two different things.

I'm a fan, but he's not played a lot this season, but he has been in every match day squad and come off the bench in the last three games. Seems strange that Bournemouth are happy to loan him out.

we are also a team that often gets caught short badly on the break due to fullbacks leaving huge gaps and CBs not being able to fill in. Playing a Cb at fullback, much like Newcastle have done with Burn, and that guy not pushing on provides that little extra solidity/insurance. Norwich dropped very deep and played on the break. RM perhaps predicted it and felt having that three guys defensive defenders (with Manning still pushing on) might be a good idea.

They only got out of their own half about twice in the first 45 minutes The only real danger was when KWP went to sleep for a freekick and they could have scored. In general, we are always a little vulnerable on the break, but I have to say in the first half of this game I couldn't have felt more calm. We were completely dominant and they offered almost no threat at all. They had three good attacks towards the end of the second half, scoring one and missing one (I think Baz saved it). However, "time after time" is a massive exaggeration IMO. Put yourself in a Norwich fans' shoes and you'd be saying like "Saints were all over us, waltzed through our midfield and behind our fullbacks, created so many dangerous attacks, got a lot of dangerous crosses in..." I thought we looked pretty good and were a threat throughout. Disappointed not to win, but we have played much worse than today and won.

I thought we played with 4 at the back the entire game rather than three CBs.

I don't have a huge issue with it. Frees up KWP to be a pure attacker without worrying about the space he leaves behind him, which makes us more solid and less susceptible to breakaways. Three out and out defenders is no bad thing. It's up to the midfield and attack to create chances. It also gives us more height at set pieces.

You are being generous. I know there is a general level of positivity about Aribo on here recently, but he really did fuck all today.

we don't hit teams on the break well. so we go one up and if teams come on to us, we don't take advantage. If they don't come on to us, we struggle to break them down as teams keep their shape and know they are still in it.

I don't agree with that. We were by far and away the better side. Norwich did very little other than defend well. Fair play to them for getting a draw, but I don't think they "deserved a point".

KWP is having a day. Taking the piss out of them.

lovely nutmeg.

very good strike that.

Basically attack vs defence...all game.

great attack from us. Almost stretched Norwich to breaking point. COYR

we've dominated, again. Norwich have had two breakaways and that's it. Not sure why there is so much criticism. Personally, Im fine with Stephens at right back. It means KWP can attack with little concern about the holes he leaves. Jack has done OK. He hasn't been exposed at all. We look pretty solid and he adds some height fo set pieces. Going forward, we have got behind them a couple of times. On the odd occasion I think we missed having a target man as the crossing has been decent but AA lacks that size. Hopefull.

I guess Charles is the cover today. In general, Bree, Larios both injured and maybe Simeu and Abu could step up from the u21s to be on the bench.

Subs bench looks light on defenders. Something we may need to address in the window.

sure, but I'm not saying "keep kicking it long", I'm saying, if the pass isn't obvious, and it wasn't, it goes. That happens about two or three times a game. In the end, its all abut good decisions and by and large Baz has cleared his lines when it's got too tight. I'm guessing this error will be a good reset.
-
The thing that caught my eye was when he lost the ball he chased back, hard, and made a good tackle to get the ball back. That is something I would expect of professionals, but that isnt what you always get. Proper desire and graft from a sub. That is a sign hr want to be here, wants to play, wants to win, wants to get in this side.

two minutes after the goal in the same situation Baz smacked it first time long - the co-commentator said "that's what he should have done before" and although obvious he was right, especially as going long immediately created a great attacking opportunity for us - the ball was not cleared by their CB and we were three on three.

Slightly surprised we haven't conceded more `over passing in our own box fuck up' type goals. It's something that is bound to happen, but opponents don't press like they do in the Prem, so we are hardly ever under great pressure. Under zero pressure and we finally fuck up. Great time for it to happen though, as it doesn't hurt us. Overall, I thought we were very good. We created some great situations. The movement was excellent. Some of the dribbling from KWP was outstanding.

Piss poor from Charles.
