it will sound silly, he kind of plays like a small guy. Lots of stretching and toeing the ball away from opponents. He's quite stocky, so maybe gives the impression that he's short. I must say, when I watched his youtube video I thought he was short too. Weird. Villa,West Ham and Spurs all linked.

are you saying we wont be able to sign Moffi unless we agree to sell Lavia?
-
I just watched his highlights video and it doesn't give me great vibes. He doesn't look terribly quick across the ground - he's stretching all the time. He has skills, but there are a lot of tricks in tight spaces where he kind of loses it and gets it back through pure luck. Too many times he's is trying to loop it over peoples heads. I can't remember him in the world cup.

There are some skates on this forum and SOTONSEASTSIDE could well be one of them.
-
what other one did we lose because of a low bid?
-
I recall the talk about him, but is he actually any good?

we all know the buyer doesn't control the speed of these things, yet on here its our management that are useless if things don't happen yesterday. I just can't get worked up about the speed of a deal for a player I don't know and don't know will work out. I care more about the quality of player than the speed they arrive.

let's not go through this `how to negotiate a football transfer' thing again. Whoever handles the transfers at the club was able to come to agreement on terms with PSV for Gakpo. They seem to know what they are doing in that regard. If you have evidence that their `tightfistedness or amateur negotiations' have cost us a transfer, let me know, otherwise maybe give this `how to it' line a rest?

This is what I thought I saw. He had an opportunity to be `strong' (to protect the ball as it was near the touchline) and withstand the shoulder barge that was obviously coming, but for some reason he didn't `set' himself and `brace for that impact', he was thus kind of surprised at the shoulder barge and it knocked him off his balance. Where it occurred, the grass becomes astroturf (where the managers reside) almost immediately and perhaps because he was wearing studs, he slipped on it slightly, which caused his knee to lock/twist. It was pretty innocuous, but you could see it was a nasty one. He grimaced and immediately held his knee. Hopefully it's nothing too serious. I said at the time `he might have done his cruciate there'. https://www.hampshirelive.news/sport/football/football-news/armel-bella-kotchap-injury-update-7995627

Is SKY a decent source? I always wonder where they get their transfer news from.
-
Joel Piroe seems to be in decent form, scoring four in the last five games. Scored a lot of very good goals last season for Swansea. Looked accomplished. Not seen any links to him yet in this window, which is slightly surprising, although not scored as many goals this time round.
-
don't like the sound of that. Do you know what position he plays for them. If we are going to play someone in the hole, like we did yesterday, I'd like it to be someone that is lot more dynamic than Aribo was.
-
Only issue would be getting a ticket. How many do Grimsby offer away fans? Never seen a game there.
-
Doubt we will sign another keeper. Whether you like any of them or not, we have four. If he wasn't injured, McCarthy would have come in for Bazunu by now. McCarthy is contracted until 2024. Cabellero will likely depart in the summer, Lis returns from loan. Yes I know, it's ugly. We have a keeper coach. Unless he departs there is no need for another.
-
Udinese only bought him this summer, all be it they had him on loan last season (they had an obligation to buy). They may be very reluctant to sell so quickly, unless its a phenomenal amount - probably in the realm of €30m. I don't think they are hard up either, as they sold Molina to Athletico for €20m and Udogie to Spurs for something similar. If they did need money, they'd probably manufacture something with Watford (the Udinese owner's son owns Watford) like they did with Kamara. If Watford get promoted, look out for that transfer. Hoe I am wrong, as Beto looks like he has the attributes needed for the prem.

€17m is a no from me.

beggars can't be choosers.

I'm guessing he hasn't heard it. I wasn't impressed with the comments, but I would imagine if Jones had heard them he would be fuming, again assuming that the player is injured.
-
Spot on. Very similar to the fans that booed the one long ball hit in the entire first half. OK, we weren't playing great, but it didn't justify that. If they booed him at another point, I missed it.
-
Lovely. Another Prem side out. Wednesday fought hard. Newcastle bombarded them late on.
-
didn't play that formation or tactic today. 4-2-3-1 with two wingers, and passed it out from the back. I wonder if we will regress when up against different opposition. Getting some height up front wouldn't be a bad thing though.
-
Someone shit, playing shit. Happy to avoid everyone for as long as possible. If Wigan can win the cup in their relegation season so can we.

As with Doswell, you seemed to be suggesting ABK wanted to come off because `he didn't fancy it'. Out today and will be having a scan: https://www.hampshirelive.news/sport/football/football-news/armel-bella-kotchap-injury-update-7995627
-
Quite rightly, when it's the defeats under Ralph, it's "Southampton", but when it's the wins under Jones, it's "us". It's the Redkunt way.
-
you agree with Doswell that ABK faked an injury as he didn't fancy it? If I was Jones and was being interviewed by BBC Radio Solent today, I'd call Doswell out on that, assuming ABK is injured - him being missing today suggests he was. It was a serious slur on his ABK's character. I guess he is fan that was gutted about the defeat, however if he had played the game at the top level he probably would know better than to have said something like that.
