Good example or why we are where we are. Redmond with decent vision, but the chip to Prowse is just a bit too strong, Prowse then stretching, gets the volley-cross, but Broja is never going to score. A good try, but just a fraction out - just not enough quality when we need it.

He came in December and we'd just signed Vestagaard from Germany in the summer. It's very much a one in one out policy at Saints these days from what I can see.

He was out of contract at the end of the season, but we had to agree a compensation fee with Reading as he was under 24. I suspect we were trying to low ball Reading and they said `lets see what the tribunal thinks' and we thus pulled out as he signed a year extension. The tribunal's have tended to be pretty fair. Nik Nak missed a trick with that one in my book.

Broja doesn't score or shine and you conclude its his poor attitude and application? I don't see similar comments and terminology used for Che, Armstrong and Long, yet they have done absolutely fuck all in the same period. Is their application and attitude spot on? Maybe the lack of goals and impact is a team issue not a character fault?

Absolutely. He will probably end up being Chelsea's number 2 or suchlike on the £100k a week he wanted and good luck to him. But if Saints had £100k a week to spend, it wouldn't be on him.
