Well, this is exciting. Interesting he seems to have agreed terms with us before club accepted the offer..that's how to do it, eh, Olly?

Sounds a hell of a lot like the Lowe way, what you've described there. But you're right...highly unlikely Cortese would employ HR. Unless we were desperate and facing relegation. Like, well, Lowe did. But obviously HR has some, well, history with us now. So employing HR, nope. Sacking NA? It's fairly easy to envisage the circumstances where that would happen.

I'm not sure they missed it out mate - it was just some advertising/PR for Adidas. I doubt it was ever planned for the closing ceremony, especially as the production quality was so low, and the vid got released during that day before the ceremony started. Just a bit of advertising fluff. Nice though.

Bring on the arsecheeks.

Fire the missile. Fire the missile now.

Its partly true. Eric did all the books and records broadly single handed back in the day - the rest of them didn't really want to do them - but they coined it from them just the same. Anyway. Can't stand Muse if I'm honest. Or Mercury. Urgh. Bring on the birds in headresses from Rio FFS.

Harsh Hypo! Nice that Pythons get a nod at one of the ceremonies.

Noel doing Look Back In Anger live from Eton Dorney.

Mel B. Bunton. Geri. Beckham. Mel C. Actually. Maybe not bother with the scouse one.

They did cover that at the opening ceremony TBF. Decent tribute to Bee Gees. And agree with TDD on Jessie J. Would obliterate it.

It's the Brit awards, just minus the awards and James Corden. Although probably spoke too soon. He'll be on singing Karma Police or something.

George doing new single? Fu cking disgrace on toast.

...this is generally okay but it is very, very inward looking. I love yer Pet Shop Boys but come on, it won't play well in Kansas and Kiev.
-
But when are they going to set those missiles off? Seems a hell of a shame them sitting on top of that tower block all this time.

Easily my favourite all time Saints home kit was that one we had with blue shorts. Brilliant it was. I remember singing "come on you blue shorts" in the Milton back in the day. As I remember the Echo used to call us the Blue Shorties as a nickname, so famous we were for our famous blue shorts. I have contacted radio solent and the club to start a campaign to rename the Northam End the Blue Short Stand to recognise these nationally famous blue shorts which the club is famed for and absolutely nothing to do with something a few dullards have seen on a kit website the other day.

Do show me where I said we tapped up players from QPR or Coventry. You were the one that talked about positive comments from other clubs. I just gave you two that had less than flattering things to say about us. And this "we do our deals in private" guff....meh. So does every club in Britain. All of them. It's not something Nicola Cortese invented.
-
Like QPR last season you mean? Or Coventry? Rave reviews from them, eh?
-
Or we've made an illegal approach to the kid's agent? More like that, maybe?
-
..maybe they haven't done anything wrong, and we have? Could you even consider that?
-
....you've just made up the "fact" that the Mail don't know it's us. It could be any PL club but it looks very much like it is us.

Disagree. Most sane people including me care as much about the Irish winning something as much as Belgium. Not in the slightest. The coverage the BBC gave that Irish bird yesterday was nauseating especially as we had our own gold medalist in the same sport on the same effing day.

Who's angry? If anything, chuckling away. Swiss money and the manager just about covers it, especially for a magazine for the general football reader. Getting upset because the chief exec hasn't been namechecked is pretty bonkers really. I'll be getting my copy tomorrow and I won't be apologising or upset that a chief executive has not been mentioned in a season preview supplement.
-
What is barking about it? Do you seriously think the owners of this club have no idea whatsoever of a price they would sell the club for if the opportunity arose? Seriously?
-
Sorry Nicola.

Especially as the timing of the Olympic football gold medal match was decided long before we were even dreaming of having a friendly with Udinese. Why do the club bother making shi te up.
