  1. The News have a standard form with 10 questions on it which they give all new Pompey signings to fill in. They then just type out the answers as an article. The form goes something like: Question 1 - Given you were not getting a game with your present club were you keen to sign for a big club like Pompey? Question 2 - You are aware we played in Premiership for a year or two aren't you? Question 3 - Most players think the fans are great what do you think? Question 4 - If we have lots of money to pay you then would you like to stay after your loan ends? etc, etc ... As every report on every new player is the same then it has to be this. You could hardly send Allen or his colleagues out without a list of questions could you, they would not have a clue what to ask.
  2. Does her brother know?
  3. "Perhaps a Trust or something could be set up so that the money doesn't get taxed as income to the club" Paying tax is a real problem for them isn't it!!!!
  4. But if Trev gets an offer of £10m for the ground then is going to accept it isn't he? Balu could end up buying his own ground back!
  5. Bl00dy hell! He wants TB to liquidate them after all?
  6. Anyone just a little concerned that their squad just is not competitive and is likely to ruin the integrity of the competition? No? I thought not!
  7. Why do I keep laughing to myself? Surely they don't deserve the return of the ice cream man? I mean, just how cruel can life be? No, that would be truly dreadful; it must not be allowed to happen. hahahahahahahahahaha!
  8. He is rubbish then. Better move on and look elsewhere.
  9. And me ... from the first day I saw him I knew he would be great. However, Mick Channon would have to shade it for me as he played for England many more times than Stevie.
  10. "Ive seen it before when the chanting is silenced by an equaliser - grubby faces, gob****e shirts bulging with beer bellies, jaws-slack, eyes all over the place, facial tattoos contorted in hate, spitting abuse. No doubt the blokes joined in too." The first time I have actually laughed at this thread!
  11. The last time the FL met and discussed P****y they surprised us with the -10 and other stringent conditions on future trading. So, they meet today with this subject high on the agenda again. Will they surprise us again? Will they reject the PST business plan and decide to resolve the issue once and for all and kick them out of the league? Will they re-emphasise their conditions which the PST are hoping will be dropped or softened? Who knows but I can hardly wait - another epic day may lie ahead of us.
  12. Yes, if his 'secured' status has ever been ratified he may get the net proceeds of the sale of FP but surely that will be far less than he would get from the remaining PPs. There is more for BC in keeping them alive so why is he playing hard ball with TB who stands to gain if they are liquidated? I know he wants to keep the admin costs down to maximise what is left for himself but in the end he will have to back down and go ahead with the purchase on TBs and the FLs terms - he has no other option has he?
  13. In liquidation the administrator will sell the ground and the proceeds will be distributed amongst the creditors (after deduction of administrators expenses of course!). BC does not get the proceeds directly, he will get a proportion of it in line with his total share of the debts. Liquidation is surely not in BC's interests so what is he playing at - he is a cunning fox so he obviously has a plan but what is it? However, apart from perhaps a tarnished reputation, liquidation is a good option for TB as his company stand to make more money from fees. Why should he budge to accommodate BC?
  14. In a liquidation situation the administrator takes his fees first and assets at PFC will certainly cover the admin fees at £1.8m. TB has no need to negotiate so what is BC up to here? BC does not want liquidation or the revenue from the PP's will be lost. In liquidation he will get only a small amount back - BC Needs the club to survive for another 18 months or so. From TB's point of view he wins either way. If he liquidates then he can say it was BC's fault for not completing the deal and he gets his £1.8m both ways. As I see it TB holds all the cards and yet BC is a pro in these dealings so just what is he aiming at?
  15. Seems like the defence has come a cropper?
  16. Bl00dy hell, I come on here looking to see if there is any news and you lot are still bickering. Now it's whether NC should take a holiday, what ever next ....?
  17. Are there any players WHU have not been linked with? What happened to all those players they bought last season? Do they have a plan? Do they have a future? Do I really care?
  18. Hargreaves training with QPR - they certainly mean business!
  19. Jimmy Gabriel
  20. Are you still playing football at 55+ Sue?
  21. Thought they lacked a little sparkle ... a bit flat second half.
  22. See above!
  23. This £6k is probably a lot more than that to the company owed it. Lets say they purchased £2k worth of materials to do a job on the ground and then paid a couple of their staff to go and do the job and they expected to be making £2k 'profit' towards the other costs of running the company, including their own salary. Its not £6k its over £10k. The debt figure and the actual economic impact are very different.
  24. I am not sure Daleks are very keen on seeing the doctor, the doctor always seems to come out best.
  25. Barnard, Dickson and Forte were all missing yesterday but played against Sholing so I think it pretty obvious all three have been told that they do not figure in future plans so they can leave with our blessing. I doubt we would ask a fee for any of them.
