Matt's views on Redknapp are revealing "he would have done the job if Lowe had let him get on with it" and also his views on the foolhardiness of appointing SCW should have quite a few on here eating humble pie. Haven bitten the bullet by appointing Redknapp Lowe then refused to give him free range, Redknapp lost interest and we went down. All very predicatable, forecasted by some on here and now confirmed by MLT. Shame he never spoke out at the time!

EuroSaint - I have to correct you here - I simply preferred Crouch to Lowe and Wilde - there is a significant difference there. I am happy that none of them are involved any more. Out of all of them Leon did at least put his money where his mouth is.

I think you will find at one stage (before Lowe returned) that Pulis snr was being lined up to become our new manager and I think the Pulis jnr "deal" was agreed around that time and Lowe was duty bound to accept it. The first half of this is based on fact the second half I am surmising.

CS - watching Matt on Sky Sports tonight gives me mixed emotions. If he just came clean and held his hands up we or sorry I could start loving him again. But I think I will let it drop - the clientele on here are not ready for this story and I guess in the greater picture it is not THAT important.

Whilst I agree with the thrust of what you say Wes, I still think it would be better if MLT actually explained a little fuller what went on. Daren says it was an error of judgement - I feel it went a little deeper. Certainly not looking to tarnish the finest player in Saints history but his involvement was not superficial and it would be good that he finally cleared the air. They still haven't actually told us why having been given exclusivity they had to rely on Crouch to pay the half million and then why they tried to hide behind the FL's ruling about the - 10 points. The whole thing stinks to high heaven and Mark Fry's role has not been properly explained. How/Why the hell did he choose Pinnacle over ML? This is not a MLT v 19C argument. I gather there are some in the higher reaches of SMS that are not overwhelmed with Pinnacle and don't forget Matt was very much part of Pinnacle - so much so he had agreed to be Chairman. I reiterate I believe Matt to have acted in the best interests of the club but he needs to tell us the truth.

They (Tony Lynam and MLT) accused me of stealing a private e mail, which wasn't true. Even Leon Crouch rang me to warn me I was in trouble. Tbh I wasn't that worried in fact I was quite angry that I had been threatened that way and it was more proof that they were a bunch of utter cowboys.

I agree but in this case to the best of my knowledge Huddersfield v Saints was not covered in any great depth so DD was at a disadvantage compared to those who made the longish trek up to Yorkshire. He still chose to mock those who posted negative reports of the players and the performance. That is my point.

DD you were mocking their negativity. I was not saying you shouldn't have an opinion - of course you should - it was just you were dismissive of the opinions of others who had actually gone to the game with their criticisms of the players. If I hadn't been to a game I would be most reluctant to publicly disagree with any opinion on the performance from someone who had. I would regard that as a tad presumptious and not a little arrogant.

Fair does mog Pinnacle at first seemed to be manna from heaven (certainly when news came through that Jackson was sniffing around) but again hopes were unfairly raised and then cruelly dashed. I remember that Tuesday night feeling that was the end for my club. I just wish MLT had done a little more explaining at the end. He owes the fans that I think. As far as I know "Pinnacle" are still hiding behind the Football League ruling and no one has had the decency to tell us exactly why the deal which was definately going to happen never did. (After all when given the chance, ML did the whole deal in 12 days). Maybe Crouch will spill the beans - last time I spoke to him he was none too happy with what happened.

You must admit if reviewing a film it would be better you had actually seen it, surely. Of course non attendees should have an opinion of general matters surrounding their club but when those same people deride the opinion of those who actually go to the matches then that is a bit rich. I would not want to deny DD the right to his opinion and in fact he was quite correct in saying we need to sign a centre half. What I objected to was after the Huddersfield game he was scathing of all those who went who were moaning about the performance of the centre halves. He went as far to tell us Thomas was the answer and yet 3 days later he's moaning about nor signing decent centre-halves. He can't have it both ways

You say hindsight MoG but I actually had "words" with MLT re Pinnacle's authenticity before (before I repeat) the announcement came they were pulling out and at the time posted stuff on here to back up my doubts. That got me into a lot of trouble and I was threatened with the police. Don't think I am one of your Johnny come lately blame Pinnacle brigade. I smelt a rat as soon as Tony Lynam began posting inconsistencies on here and Matt and Leon were photographed with KK. (What was that all about?)

Thanks for that - I went to Huddersfield on Saturday and was shocked by what I saw. Big problems and at present AP seems a bit clueless. We have to give him time however. OMG

Agree 100% Micky I supported Pinnacle at the outset mainly because of MLT. I since feel very let down. Hope that answers your question.

wash saint - I wasn't looking to start another Lowe war but you can't over ride 5 years of neglect in a month. I am concerned at AP's start - I went to Huddersfield and was shocked at our ineptitude but like it or not we have got to give the guy a chance. He talks well but I agree he has already made some strange team selections and tactical decisions but we gotta keep our nerve here. Avoiding relegation is our goal. D

And how much Pinnacle's "never gonna happen" takeover held us back. We are now suffering from a very disorganised close season and there are some who supported Pinnacle who should be asking themselves serious questions.

I haven't got a problem with you not going to games because you live a long way away but you sure have a big gob for someone who doesn't go to matches - perhaps you would be better served respecting the opinions of the fans that do go and keep quiet until you get to a match yourself - then your opinion will hold a little more water.

AP inherited a mess left by 5 years of mismanagement by Lowe. We can't expect him to sort that out in 4 weeks. Those extra 4 weeks wasted by Pinnacle's "never gonna happen" bid are now coming home to roost. Perhaps people's frustrations should be aimed at Pinnacle and the people that gave them oxygen rather than Pinnacle. Just a - no doubt unpopular - thought. Give Pardew a chance - he is far from being the biggest culprit here.
