  1. You can bet your bottom ten pence that if we go down those potential investors will look elsewhere. Thus, the league is the priority for the future of the club, with new ownership and a little money to address our paper-thin squad. The FA Cup is neither here nor there and still needs us winning three games, something we don't seem particularly capable of. Which isn't to say it wouldn't be great. Just might detract even more from what is - in my view - much more important.
  2. 30-1 now and falling. Like us.
  3. Will likely lose. Will it change anything? Not really, except less distraction from more important job of staying up.
  4. In terms of timing would it be more or less likely that Howe would/could take over (I know, conjecture) before we play Bournemouth?
  5. Personally think this may be a good watershed. They know they must win the game so might just rediscover, oh, I dunno, going forward? Actually attacking rather than getting semi-ons about how well they're knocking the ball around the back. Perhaps we might even be able to build on that, assuming Ralph doesn't do more mysterious tinkering. OR If we again get beat (in my view likely) it will crystallise our attention on survival. Think it's hard-wired into the club's DNA to only turn up when it's essential. But the really scary thing is the players have lost all faith in Ralph and are going through the motions before their next club, so convinced are they by their own skills in making their dream trot up to Spurs to join Hoivelt or whoever. Actually having fans back might buck their ideas up, but by the last game it still might be too late
  6. I thought Howe was off to Palace after Woy's retirement at the end of the season? Rumour I heard.
  7. Need some new faces in coaching set up, perhaps even only as supplement to Ralph. A plan b specialist....
  8. Tell you what. Why doesn’t he work on this anyway? Like at the start of the season? Starting to irritate me now. You don’t motivate them by purring about how we played in the last loss to City. Why doesn’t he get angry? Animated? Bit wet. Going down at the moment (still)
  9. Would prefer three points than progressing one more stage in the FA Cup by a million miles.
  10. Can we give Chris Wilder a call?
  11. Are th EY all playing for their next club already?
  12. Predictable
  13. We need spirit, fight and guts tonight to counter their wanting/needing it more. Also not convinced Ralph will fire them up sufficiently. Flicks and tricks will not be enough today. But please get the selection right. Leave the disruptive ball loser Redmond at home, Diallo have a stormer, Fraser instil quiet confidence through the back line, Bertrand get some zip in your game, and KWP add that essential pace and overlaps. Oh, and stick Tella up with Minamino to defeat their big links at the back with raw pace. Please get it right Saints. Turn up!
  14. Yes. I hate them. Terrific use of emojis.
  15. Burnley winning adds a bit more pressure on tomorrow. Have to win or at least not lose. Gonna be nervy. Brighton are not bad at all.
  16. Feeder club to miserly Levy. Brilliant.
  17. If he does that then Ralph really isn't a good manager
  18. FFS. I hate Spurs with all my heart
  19. Which generalisations, just so I know? Love, 'I'd prefer to have Ralph', of the 'anti-Ralph' brigade
  20. Epitomised by the way we were knocking the ball about at the end, seemingly content with the job done, and keeping the score below 9. When we had our decent opening spell they also seemed happy to not concede, on many occasions knocking it all the way back to McCarthy from well inside their half, playing propoganda football, as the wee Gordon Strachan used to call it. It's all show, and then crumbles when they deign to attack. Against Brighton I will be looking for some grit, and balls, but am not holding my breath. Too many soft players, with a manager whose style does nothing to adapt or, occasionally, actually grind out a result. No, there aren't many alternatives, and I'd prefer to have Ralph, but god I wish he wouldn't come off a 5-2 defeat and say he was happy how we played. It's like a parallel universe.
  21. That’s the team. Pick it and we will win. Redmond and McCarthy in and can’t see a win.
  22. Yeah. Brave is definitely a word I wouldn’t associate with our lot. It’s the lack of guts and bravery that’s precisely the problem. We need some solidity and fight. Resilience. Too many ‘flick on’ players and Bertrand’s lackadaisical wag of playing seems to sum it up perfectly. Plays like a training game at all times. No-one with balls out desire. That’s the main problem for me. That and a keeper (today) who doesn’t do anything to install confidence in those ahead of him. Forster at least appears to do that, even if he has a different set of faults.
  23. No worries
  24. Ok. No worries.
  25. Not sure I follow. He’s applied for Jamaican citizenship or at least qualification to play for the country. Er. Prick.
