Pass that one, Che
-
Minamino had to at least hit the target
-
Bertrand’s marking is sloppy
-
Absolute worldy. Good work Che
-
That’s our best possible team line up. Like that he’s dropped Redmond, that Adams’ plodding performances have been replaced by Tella and Minamino’s potential zip, that Forster has retained his place and that joy of joy Diallo and KWP are back. Need to get it done.
-
I'd have thought playing a pacy 'smaller' but skilful player like Minamino is precisely the way to go against big, slow, lumbering full backs. But it will be a balance. And yes, Diallo will be a big addition, as will KWP. Here's hoping. I'd play them at 80% fit...
-
Yep. Same. Seeing his name on the teamsheet is a massive disappointment to all who value keeping hold of the ball and generally not being shite
-
To get off the bottom. Hahaha 🤣
-
They are 13/5. We are 11/10 at Betfair.
-
Yeah that’s it. You’ve got it exactly right.
-
They have a big incentive to beat us now. Really not our year.
-
Ramsdale very good again. Looks a decent keeper to me
-
I hope this takes it out of them, energy wise.
-
They have fight and spirit. Hope we do on Saturday. Diallo back will help. Please!
-
Jagielka red. Suspended?
-
Them having more confidence after winning won’t have a bearing on the game. Righto
-
It making our job harder at the weekend to get an essential win over a team high on confidence. That’s my point.
-
They seem a bit buoyed by being one up. Uh oh
-
Actu Frasier would probably be better, you're right. Excellent sitcom... Point taken. I get the jitters more when McCarthy has the ball at his feet than F. But it's marginal, agreed...
-
Ps Talksport doing 'are Saints going down?' with Charlie Austin...
-
Distribution was way better. Exuded more presence. Sorry. As if McCarthy would have saved the first one...
-
Bring in Minanimo, KWP, Diallo and it's a different proposition. Leave Redmond at home. I'd have Tella start instead of Adams, too. The latter has been pretty anonymous and was impressed with Tella when he came on. Go to be brave and go for the jugular. Time to ditch the patient tippy tap approach, Ralph

It feels to me like Gao is caught between not investing too much in the club so he can get the most back when he sells (which looks to me his only interest) and watching the value of his asset diminish as it plummets towards relegation. I suspect that he rode his luck with the underinvestment and even losing players off the wage bill at the window, thinking that our points tally would be enough. He's probably sweating a bit more now, but it likely will be. We can only hope that the buyer has enough confidence too. Getting 6 more points as quickly as possible will likely twist their arm. Then we can possibly hope for Ralph to be rejuvenated with a full squad that his (pretty rigid) playing style requires. At the moment, though, stasis.
