  1. Would rather give Sam Amo minutes
  2. It’s going to be ‘must win’ just about every game if we’re to have any hope of top 2. Put the pressure on and hope that the others have some shockers as we have. Millwall have 1 point from their last 7 games, scored 3, conceded 15. Must fucking win.
  3. Exactly this. We did the first bit right - drawing the press. But instead of then trying to beat the press we’d just give it back to someone too tightly marked and give it away in a dangerous spot. Shambolic. 2nd half much better in that we had Adams to hold it up and get us up the pitch, but the damage was done.
  4. We’ve been shambolic in 3 of the last 4 games, that doesn’t bode well when we’ve got to pick up more points than 2 of 3 teams who in far better form than we are.
  5. He said he’d learned lessons from the Huddersfield and Bristol City games, but clearly hasn’t
  6. I get why we want to play out from the back. But when we draw the press, don’t find a pass through or round it, then play out to someone tightly marked and give it away, it’s completely fucking pointless.
  7. Russball is ok against the dross, and an absolute liability against a half decent press. There’s a lot of dross in the league this season but tonight was not the night to fuck about like that. Again.
  8. Don’t care how they come but 3 points are essential tonight
  9. Leicester have won 12 of their 16 away games though, they won’t be panicking. They usually win even if they’re not playing that well, they’ll finish a good few points clear of the rest IMO
  10. Tricky game, toughest home game in ages. Hull are actually far better away than they are at home and have won their last 3 away in the league (although against ‘uddersfield, Rotherham and out of form Sunderland) We’ll need to be better than we were in our last home game
  11. It’s only been one game since we got comfortably turned over by a mid table side, please stop this nonsense
  12. Both sides losing players through suspension or otherwise. Leeds win is the worst result
  13. Ipswich not going away. They’ve got a very nice run on paper before we play there on Easter Monday
  14. We’d have to be almost perfect, no more performances like Tuesday
  15. I’m ok with letting them dwell on our last meeting for a few more years. I thought they might collapse after their awful run over Xmas but none of the other sides are putting enough points on the board
  16. Skates strolling to promotion, I swear every time I look at League 1 results all the other teams at the top fail to win
  17. Another shit goal to concede. Leeds haven’t been great but haven’t needed to be
  18. Leeds playing some good stuff, decent press too which is too good for Plymouth. Hoping for a goal out of nothing really
  19. Yeah fair play to Russ on this, Manning has been awful recently and he’s realised we needed to be tighter at the back.
  20. Very happy to be proven wrong on the result. I thought WBA would have too much for us, especially without Downes, but we started so positively and they looked beaten from the first 10 minutes. Fair play to Russ, huge result when Leeds and Ipswich are expecting the wheels to come off
  21. The only team we’ve beaten away in the top 13 is Hull and that was on the fortunate side. Those other 7 wins have come against teams in the bottom 10. So it’s more a prediction on form over the course of the season rather than being unnecessarily negative
  22. I think it’ll be a routine defeat. They’re very good at home, we’re not very good away
  23. At least we should be pretty fresh for this after so little running last night. Hopefully Downes is fit, and Adams too. Both were hugely missed and we’ll have to mix our game up to get anything from this. Strolling around and playing 5 yard passes to the opposition isn’t going to cut it
  24. That was just a doddle to play against, just like we were in September: 1. Drop back and let us walk it up to halfway 2. Wait for us to give it away 3. Quick counter into huge spaces behind our midfield/defence Back to the drawing board hopefully
  25. When we pass straight to an opposition player every time we get up the pitch, then don’t try to recover to win it back, that’s pretty piss easy to find a way through
