Nobody in the middle of the park was composed enough to put a foot on the ball and play through midfield. Too many rushed clearances and hopeful balls into the channels which just resulted in losing possession again. Sooo many sh*t lofted balls into attacking positions as well which never came off. What's that trying to achieve?! Mane spent more time having to challenge for headers than he did receiving the ball to feet. Bournemouth worked hard and deserved to win, but if we'd been anywhere near as good as we can be we'd have beaten them, they're not very good and we pretty much gifted them their goals. Ref had a shocker as well, bad decisions both ways but gave them everything they wanted.

Agree with most. Forster Cedric Fonte VvD Bertrand Targett Clasie Romeu Davis Long Mane

The sad thing is, the current squad will look and see how our former players have got on with their moves "for champions league football" and "to fight for trophies", but I highly doubt any would be any less inclined to push for a move if the opportunity arose. At least now if someone was leaving for Liverpool, they'd just have to admit that it was for the money.

^^sounds like a good plan. I got out yesterday for the first time since Boxing Day. I've been working insane hours recently so have struggled for time, but I've just bought the kit I need to start cycle-commuting. It's 18 miles each way so with any luck I'll start to see some improvement fairly quickly from regularly doing a few miles. I'm sure it's from knocking it at work the other day but I started to get some pain in my knee yesterday after about 20 miles so I cut it short and limped home, I've never been completely happy with my setup of the bike some I'm booking in for a 3D retul bike fit at my LBS, hoping that'll help.

They really are in poor form. Love it. Interesting debate on the red/blue border. I grew up living right on the border, the red path by my house divided SO31 and PO14. I was at Brookfield school from 98-03, the number of lads in my year that were Liverpool, United, London club fans soon became skate fans as soon as they got promoted. "I've always supported them", "they've always been my second team" etc etc Absolute nightmare when we got relegated as well, but you don't hear a peep these days and I don't think many of them go to FP regularly any more. I'd say Warsash and Locks Heath was always more red than blue, they just had a few years of gathering armchair fans of other clubs. Some lads I go to games with live in Fareham/Stub, there are quite a few Saints round that way as well.

We all know it'll be top 6 reserves, Rooney, limited central midfielders and out of position CBs at RB. Lucky to get through the group then out in the first knockout round I reckon

Would love to see Forster Clyne Stones Cahill Bertrand Dier Alli Vardy Barkley Sterling Kane Will probably be: Hart Jones Smalling Jagielka Baines Henderson Carrick AOC Rooney Welbeck Sturridge

I ran it 2 years ago. Not a bad event but avoid having to use the bag drop facility if you can. I had to queue for 45 mins in just my shorts and vest in about 5 degrees after the race because it was so badly organised. They issued race numbers based on estimated finishing time, and the bag drop numbers matched up with race numbers so there were huge queues for 1 bag drop section at a time. Save a bit for the last 5k as well, it's a long stretch of dual carriageway back towards the football stadium where there's likely to be a headwind.

What a goal. Sterling's fault though. Should never give it away there and left Bertrand stranded miles up the pitch.
-
Will never improve under a dinosaur like Hodgeson. It's annoying we made such light work of qualifying, he'll be under no pressure until we get dumped out of the Euros.
-
Steven Davis - prolific goalscorer. Stick him up front if Pelle gets injured/suspended
-
Bertrand playing very well. Lallana poor.

The Jonathon Forte of international football

Standard Barkley. Decent turn but no real thought of anything but going on a run and scoring a wonder goal. Which always results in a Lallana-style shot into the advertising boards.
-
England are miles behind technically. Clumsy on the ball when pressed, slow to move the ball, movement isn't good enough. We'll get taken apart by decent teams in major tournaments.
-
Not a chance in hell we'll win the next 8 games. Not a single side in the league is capable of that sort of form this season.

3+1+3+1+1+0 = 9. You're less pessimistic than you thought!

So, international break and 2 weeks without any meaningful football. 14 points from the last 18 available with some brilliant performances and a couple of dodgy ones but picking up points. Swansea (H) 3-1 W Chelsea (A) 3-1 W Leicester (H) 2-2 D Liverpool (A) 1-1 D B'mouth (H) 2-0 W S'land (A) 1-0 W Next 6: Stoke (H) Man City (A) Villa (H) Palace (A) Spurs (H) Arsenal (H) 4 home games left this side of New Year but some tricky fixtures. I'd take 10 points if offered now, especially if 3 were at the expense of Spurs.
-
VVD is an absolute monster. Will get a bollocking from Ron though for charging forward on 90+3 then losing the ball and getting caught out of position but that was a brilliant performance from him. Victory for football.
-
We'll shock everyone by playing well for fully 70 minutes, before letting them back in by sitting too deep and inviting pressure. Hoping for 3 goals before that point. VvD to score and get MOTM. Sunderland 1-3 Saints
-
It still annoys me that he even attempted those tactics in Denmark. Even with the limited squad I think that if we'd have played 4 at the back and tried to play football then we'd have been too good for them.

League Cup Quarter Final Draw - Liverpool at Home - Tickets £18

Boro at home please -
Thought we were pretty poor first half. Villa were too but we looked like we would let them in on the break, we weren't using the ball well. Played some lovely stuff second half though. Yoshida getting into nosebleed territory then slamming it in the bottom corner, and Pelle's goal was a beauty. Great assist from Tadic. Decent win but Villa at home was probably the easiest draw going. The championship sides left in at least have some form and a bit of a buzz going on around them. Got to play better next round. Boro at home please.
-
Villa are sh*t but we're not giving them enough to think about. Too many changes for me.

We've had some dismal days there to be fair! I Remember the game there in the Burley days when we let their f*cking keeper equalise in injury time.
