...of holding a cleansheet for just about quarter of an hour

I took Southampton to the Champions League Trophy in 'Southampton Manager 2003' game on PC. Maybe I should be given a crack with all that past success.
-
Maybe in a few years time, we could possibly agree with fellow League 1 sides Leicester, Leeds, Watford, Charlton, Oldham, Forest, Swindon, MK Dons and Norwich to form a Barclays Lost Souls Premier League. I think Bradford are unconvincing so I wouldn't invite them.

Referee Job Description 1) give late penalties at old trafford to the home team 2) listen to anything said by steven gerrard 3) be biased against southampton 4) always give the defender the benefit of the doubt 5) be even more biased against southampton
-
The referee is clearly racist.

Please can we score a goal Southampton. Id appreciate it very much as im staying up over here in Australia in the minimal hope of actually getting a result!!!

The problem is we hear that too much on these threads...
-
And then we'll go on a 20 match winning streak and get promoted, beat Pompey on the opening day of the season 5-0, sign Rory Delap and score goals from 45 throw ins and qualify for the Champions League, destroying Steaua Bucharest in the group stages as a bit of revenge for winning on the pathetic 'away goals' rule, David McGoldrick will go on and beat Torres, Anelka and Ronaldo for the golden boot, and then to cap it off we beat Arsenal 6-1 on the final day of the season in 2011 to lift the trophy... AND IT BEGINS WITH PEARCE
-
they are going to win 6-0 and exact their revenge :(
-
Well its more like St Fairy's now, so im not sure this game counts...?
-
Well we almost made page 2 at 0-0.
-
Credit must go to the defenders and Kelvin Davis for not conceding a goal yet.

Saints v Wolves Match Thread (for those wanting a Wolves win)
brightspark replied to Mole's topic in The Saints
or when Saints die??? -
I sometimes wonder if I was destined to be a very unlucky person when being introduced to the team I would know to support as a boy happened to be the team that has lost the most games since I became a football fan. Joyous times.

Think Wolves will just be far better than us. I'll go for 3-0 Wolves in a similar to Watford first half thumping, but with a positive 2nd half performance that shows 'promise' and 'fighting spirit' when we all know Wolves just didnt care anymore. Although, the game isn't being televised, and Wolves haven't beaten us in the league beyond the time we were both in the Premier League, so we might nick something.

Rory Delap's notororious long throw .
brightspark replied to CHAPEL END CHARLIE's topic in The Saints
Maybe its clever management from Pulis. Maybe he is the only one who has spotted what devastation it could cause. Pulis then has maybe given Delap a lot of throwing work and its all paying off. Though when we had Delap we didnt have a team similar to Stoke, aka big brutes. We had Fernandes, Anders Svensson, Kevin Phillips... while every single Stoke player are physical giant lumps. If Delap did it for us we only had Beattie and maybe Killer to aim at... and Tessem off the bench late on... really not many options IMO. Im not sour, but credit to Pulis and Delap for what they are doing now. Its shaking up the Premier League. (btw, didnt we score from a delap throw only once? for some reason sunderland 1-0 95th minute late december is flashing up in my brain???) -
A check of the upcoming fixtures sees: Bristol City (H) Wolves (H) Reading (A) Plymouth (H) We have to get over this pathetic live on tv crapness and get a second win on the bounce. It is important so that it proves to people we are not 'rubbish' and that the PNE comeback wasn't just a one off. Though its also important due to those nasty 2 fixtures after bristol. If you look at the current quality of those 2 teams, we will be lucky to get anything from 6. Like everyone really happy with what happened at Preston. Couldnt believe it!!! But if we cant win next week its likely we'll be back in the bottom 3 come Plymouth. COYR!!!

We have money. It just belongs to the bank. Who want the money back...
-
Sorry to dissappoint but we have no money. Unless you'd like to stump up the funds to buy some more experienced players who are good enough to get us out of the mess then we are stuck with the youngsters for the season. Its all about "confidence" if we believe Poortvliet. Though this is becoming as similar as Burley's weekly "baffled" column.

I dont get to follow games any more due to my location, but to be out of the game by half time every time for the last 3 saturdays must mean we are the worst team in this league? as soon as we go away from home we get battered by everyone... down with the doncaster??? its going to take a Rupert Lowe euromillions victory to save the problems it seems... draw 2-2??? lose 6-0??? which is more likely???
-
Just like the badminton player, Robertson has a knack of finding the net!!!
-
Might as well all go home. We might be going home empty handed in more ways than one.
-
I hope we win.
-
We've found the plate, it better not be Derby that find the knife and fork though (grrr)

Please dont let those plonks end their record!!! Get some point/s on the board!!!
