  1. Or it could be the case that this is one identified position where an experienced quality player will make a difference. It's a question of balance and we can't have a team made up entirely of potential. And maybe our new manager has had his say. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  2. Certainly not good news, but I remember Morgan having time out when he was told he wasn't leaving - to get his head straight and come to terms with the fact that the club really were holding firm. The bottom line was, he finally accepted we wasn't going, had nothing to gain from sulking and needed both to play, and have a good season, to keep himself on the radar for next year. Let's hope Virgil is going through the same process. It's very probably a battle of wills now, and one that's important for the club to win. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  3. I've heard P*mpey have new wealth but surely Callum wouldn't sink that low? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  4. Judge for yourself. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  5. I'll still only believe it when he shows off the watch. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah, right. I'm sure that if we sell VVD, which I still don't think we will, we'd certainly blow the proceeds on a totally different position rather than a replacement. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  7. It's a theory, but unlikely. What was the point of playing him in the last two, pretty meaningless games, as the risk of aggravating the injury? And the club have said they're easing him back into contact work very carefully. It's not as though they need to see him in pre-season to decide if he's good enough for the team. And if he's on any sort of strike, would he be training at all, let alone on a pre-season tour? I assume you're suggesting he's declaring himself unfit for each game. I would have thought our fitness team would be judges of that. But, if he hasn't played before the season proper starts, without good and convincing argument, then I'll start wondering. 8. We'll get £75m or he won't go. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  9. And Southampton have reminded Virgil van Dijk that he is contracted to them for the next five years, Liverpool have made no offer and have publicly declared they have no further interest in him, as they are allegedly guilty of tapping-up and will be punished if they pursue him. And they also enquire why he thinks Liverpool are interested since there has been no legal contact. And finally, they respectfully suggest that Liverpool should p!ss off and stop their bullying. 10. If Virgil stays, we don't need CB. DCM, yes for the right player at the right price, but not critical. ACM - we're overloaded already, so not unless someone leaves. We have Gabbiadini, Long, Austin and Gallagher, so don't expect CF. I doubt we'll get more than one or two in, and very possibly none. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  11. The Scouser Tweeters are pretty much like a two-year-old having tantrums. But Mummy, I want it! I want it! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  13. I initially thought it was a broken metatarsal, but it seemed to be referred to as ankle, so I'm not sure either. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  14. I hope you're not serious. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  15. Exactly. Once we get into August, I doubt we'll let him go at any price. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  16. £55m? You're joking. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  17. A couple of typos in your post. Hope you don't mind the correction. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  18. This. They simply can't believe we don't want to sell, don't need to sell. All the papers and pundits keep reminding everyone that were a selling club. We are misbehaving very badly in not doing as we're told, firstly selling when told to and secondly accepting what Liverpool choose to offer. After all, who are we to value our own player? 19. Including getting a transfer ban? Their egos just can't cope with not being able to bully their way though anything. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  20. Makes as much sense as most of the posts on here. ? Must learn to lock the keyboard before putting phone in pocket. Doh. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  22. What do we think? I'm totally underwhelmed. Just rebranding and spreading increasingly thin content even more thinly. I've just ditched it and glad to be saving money. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  23. This. I'm guessing LFC are in a quandary, and that is why Klopp is talking about a "complicated" window. They are so used to their normal pattern of tapping-up, media pressure to unsettle the home fans and create animosity towards the player, agent pressure on the player to make him unsettled too, including putting transfer request and striking, lots of contact from current and past players. But our complaint has put a spanner in the works. They've had to agree to back off, so they can't really make a formal offer. If VVD takes any action to force a move, it confirms he knows they still want him and implies further illegal contact. Any comment or pressure has to kept clearly removed from the club. So it's clear they're frustrated. This hasn't happened before. If they ask permission to speak, we can say no and point out they've supposedly backed off. I think that the only way this could move is if Saints initiate it. And if they don't want to sell, why would they? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  24. As far as I know, they haven't offered anything. They were forced to back off before that could happen. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  25. Maybe he does want away, but the club have told him no, and if they hold firm, there's nothing he can do. But there is actually no real evidence whatsoever that he's agitating for a move. Just incessant social media suggestions and the occasional bit of rehashing in the press. I'm not saying he won't go, but wish there was a bit more discrimination on here, rather than reacting hysterically to every bit of trolling nonsense. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
