I'm not impressed with Clasie. He can look quite neat on the ball when he has time, but I agree with your points. I think he's starting with Davis as part of the player rotation. Claude seems to have the two pairings - Davis/Clasie and Hojbjerg /JWP. If he's resting these players in alternate games it avoids having a JWP/Clasie pairing, which I would think is too weak. Team picks itself. What is key is that only Fonte played 90 mins last night. If Bertrand isn't fit, have to add McQueen, but he's on cloud nine and could probably play every day. That's where we'll hopefully reap the benefits of Puel's brave selection and rotation, something missing last season as Koeman would not have trusted the Academy players.
