Can't believe the Sky coverage. Still saying "Sky sources believe Liverpool are close to agreeing a 9M fee" I can't find any reliable confirmation of this anywhere - just typical Sky. In fact all that has happened is an offer seems to have been made and Saints have rejected it, but they have suggested that, if the right offer (absolutely no figure mentioned) is received and RL wants the move, Saints won't stand in his way. We are clearly NOT close to agreeing a fee, although I think it will probably happen once the new manager is in place.

And yet the media are still working hard to reinforce the impression that there are "done deals" and there are plenty on this forum all too happy to swallow that without question. agents are at work all the time to put players in a position where they feel they have to move. I'm not saying we won't lose players, but we haven't yet, despite the dozens of posts accepting unsubstantiated media reports. There is still plenty of water to go under the bridge. Sure, our board have some tough battles to fight and time will tell where they really stand.

The board will be well aware. They have made a statement that you, and many others choose not to believe because of the strength of the carefully-orchestrated media campaign being waged against us. So far, the board are right. We have not sold any players and I doubt that any sales will be concluded before the new manager arrives. If they are, then enjoy telling me how deluded I was, but not until then.

It only takes a few Twitter rumours apparently from someone ITK to convince some people to lump on, then the odds tumble. Not difficult to manipulate if you're determined. Could easily be a ploy to push other odds up.

That statement was last night. And emphasised bid must be acceptable, which would include to the new manager. Despite all the hype, this won't happen in a hurry. Yes it probably will happen, but no way this weekend.

Maybe not sending out transfer gossip, but feeding stories and propaganda to the Fail, no doubt playing a part in Poch's departure and drip feeding disquiet amongst players.

He doesn't at all, which is why this is all bizarre. It could be a deal to reduce AL fee and sell-on costs. They may want him as 3rd or 4th striker backup or an alternative to bring on occasionally after 80 minutes. Or the whole story could be hyped from one rumour.

All the papers/SKY/BBC = media Lambert's family? Maybe responding to rumours. SWF ITK? Don't make me laugh. I'll wait until there's real news.

This could easily turn out to be a massive Twitter scam hyped by the media.

So she's over the moon to hear a rumour Pool have made a bid for RIcky.

If the offer is right. Who knows what that would be?

I would guess it's fake. As I see it the only facts are probably: 1. Liverpool have made an offer. 2. It's been rejected.
