  1. From the BBC comment it's clear no offer yet accepted and no comment on what would be enough - just that it would need to be acceptable AND RL would want to go.
  2. Ludicrous. No way that could have been arranged.
  3. I'll stick my head above the parapet and get shot at. My take on what's happened is Liverpool have made an offer, Saints will make no response on the basis that they would allow RL to leave if that is his wish but are not in a position to have that discussion as he is with England. I would like to think Saints will do everything they can to keep him, but if a big payday is on offer late in his career and he wants it, unless we can match it, it's the fairest thing Saints can do for RL. But would be gutted to see him go.
  4. I'm sure we can do far better. Moyes is totally wrong for Saints.
  5. I'd consider it something of a miracle.
  6. I see Sky are selling our entire team to Spurs.
  7. Had barely heard of him before today, just like I'd never heard of MP. But from what I've read, he'd fit.
  8. Not for me, thanks.
  9. So would I. Will be much tougher than the peak this year. Major rebuild and depends entirely on the quality of the management/coaching team.
  10. 1 in 19 chance is the same as 18/1. Trust me. I'm a statistician.
  11. 18/1. We can't play ourselves.
  12. Probably yes. There are worse options. We need someone to build in the same mould as NA and MP. What terrifies me is we'll get a left-field appointment by a board not best equipped with football knowledge, like the Dutch experiment.
  13. He's probably gone if that's what he wants, but there could still be twists. Will Saints do anything to keep him? Match Spurs offer and let him decide on setup and potential? If they did that, he'd be a fool not to stay. Better prospects at Saints.
  14. I'd have Adkins back over most of the suggestions on here.
  15. MAN with name starting V.
  16. That's based on the bets that have been placed. Most if those will be those who believe the press stories. Means nothing.
  17. This.
  18. But can't help feeling really sorry for Derby. Better team by far, denied a possible goal by a cynical foul, lost through a momentary lapse of concentration. And I'd far rather be going to Derby than bl**dy QPR And worst of all, I really, really hate Saggychops.
  19. Exactly this.
  20. JRod @ Fulham.
  21. I was only charged £1 on a credit card. At least mine's gone down as i've become a senior for the second time.
  22. A new low in the level of gibberish.
  23. 9/10. The edge has gone off since we lost JRod and we lack the finish that he was beginning to provide. But a fantastic season. Anyone suggesting mid-table mediocrity needs to look at where we were 3 years ago and get a reality check or give up on he pathetic wind-ups.
  24. Moyes would be a massive step backwards. We are playing the style of football that is bringing success to the big clubs of Europe whilst Moyes has shown his limitations in a big way at ManU.
