    Russia

In the current climate it does seem like a good idea to increase spending on the military. On the other hand though the much-feared Russian army couldn't even make it to Kiev without getting it's ass kicked so not sure they are much of a threat to us over here.
  2. Looks like it worked. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-68165971
  3. I'm confused?! You are the one getting all hung up on pronouns. The point I originally made was about conflating trans people with sex offending, a bit like what the Daily Mail seems to do. Many people don't know a trans person so if all they ever read about trans people is related to sex offending it is no wonder there is a problem with transphobia.
  4. I couldn't give a monkeys what she called her/him/itself, I was just using she because that is what the article used. She/He/whatever is just a sex offender, whatever pronouns is used doesn't change that. LOL at Mr obsessed above.
  5. You are so thick it is scary. I know it was an Echo article, the clue is the logo at the top of the page. Try reading what I posted again, I was comparing Hypo to the Mail for his choice of post. Some sex offenders and male, some are female and some are trans - we all know that. The only reason I can see why someone would choose to share a link to a sex offenders story on a LGBT History Month thread is to feed the narrative that trans gender people are in some way perverts. Just like the Daily Mail seem to do.
  6. Couldn’t tell you from that pic. I wouldn’t want to find out either way TBH.
  7. “Ale House”
  8. Looks like another Tranny to me.
  9. She’s a trans woman, I thought the article was quite clear on that.
  10. You don’t have to say it slowly, just put the right words down. Well done. In answer to your question, editorial style. Stories involving trans people always seem to get more attention from the likes of The Mail than worse crimes committed by men. There is an obvious narrative.
  11. And in English...
  12. Good to see you keep up with the Daily Mail type flow of stories to feed the narrative. The person involved is just a pervert regardless of what gender they are. Far more men commit this sort of crime and worse.
  13. I was thinking the same, going forward he could be improved on. Probably shouldn’t undervalue the defensive work he does though.

    Israel

Exactly. Remember the outrage from the nob heads on here when “from the river to the sea” was mentioned. Hamas want Israel off the map and they are terrorists, Israel want Palestine off the map and it’s “why don’t we light up Wembley”.

I'm not saying I agree with it, it's just the way it is. It's tough on Ukraine but I can't see NATO countries wanting to take the risk, it's big risk with article 5 and all that.

I didn't say we would have no worry of being bitten back should we go to war, try reading. My point was as it stands not a single NATO soldier has been killed (obviously special forces may be involved that we don't know about) or Russia hasn't laid a foot on NATO territory. Whilst Russians are being killed on their tens of thousands and they are losing all sorts of hardware. There is no reason why NATO would want Ukraine to join up at the moment.
  17. Most do. I expect language and family connects are two reasons why some might feel safer here.

By that I meant NATO troops are not dying and NATO cities are not getting blown up, whilst Russia is losing tens of thousands of troops and having their military degraded.

Think at the moment NATO is in a much better position leaving it as it is with Ukraine fighting a proxy war, don't see what they would have to gain by deciding Ukraine up. AT the moment NATO can destroy the Russian military at will without any comeback. Plus I doubt the Ukrainians will like the idea of their country being divided up. That said I expect eventually there will be some sort of peace deal that involves Ukraine being part of NATO and conceding some territory to Russia, I just think the fighting will have to stop before Ukraine joins NATO.
  20. This is just complete nonsense, if you want to be in the more vocal parts of the ground or shout at the away fans you just buy a ticket in those areas. That will be the same regardless of where the away fans are, moving them will make no difference whatsoever.
  21. It’s good to have a standing area but I can’t see moving the away fans making any difference to the atmosphere, it’s the same fans just moved around. Those that want to shout at the away fans will just move to wherever they are, those that want to just sit in silence with their flask of coffee will move to the Northam

Is that where you learned how to sweep floors?

Better hope these strikes actually have an effect on their capability otherwise all we have done is increase support for the Houthis. I would have thought a better approach would be to stop Israel’s attacks/genocide in Gaza and scale down the conflict.
  24. Surely the more important question has to be over the judicial system that saw so many people wrongly convicted? Computer systems will always have bugs, big companies will always try to cover stuff up to protect their brand. How come so many judges believed that a computer system was infallible over people with previous good character without knowledge of IT systems or evidence from independent expert witnesses? Prosecution: “The computer shows this person stole money”. Defence: “the computer system is fucked”. I get how this can happen a few times but 900 times with the same system, mental. Surely the judge on case number 899 might have thought something a bit fishy was going on?
  25. This. It’s a disgrace the government haven’t sorted it out already.
