  1. Think it’s referring to the more fragile among us who get all defensive when confronted with issues of racial inequality. For example, when the BLM stuff was going on most normal people’s first thought was probably; fair enough, the cop shouldn’t have murdered the guy so you can understand people getting angry and wanting to promote the idea that black lives matter. The more fragile’s first thought was to get all defensive “what about white lives.” That sort of stuff.
  2. Think you probably spend a bit too much time on these mate.
  3. Should have introduced vaccine passports earlier on. Some friends of my in-laws were these thick anti-vaccine types but as soon as they realised they would need a jab to go on holiday they couldn't get it done quick enough. These selfish cunts will soon get it done if it effects their way of life.
  4. I would probably give Fraser a go but I think it’s a classic case of a player seeming better the more they don’t play. I still have vivid memories of him standing rooted on the line whilst someone heads it in from 6 yards, or going down like a falling Redwood as a shot goes underneath him.
  5. Need to get shot of both of them.
  6. He’s always just been a back up keeper, problem is some maniac gave Forster a massive contract so we’re stuck until he sees it out.
  7. Mental that Ole still has a job.
  8. Ralph has really fucked this up
  9. Weird subs from Ralph
  10. Agree, it’s mental. Any country that allows people to take an assault rifle to a protest is fucked up. What this kid did would be akin to me taking a gun to a Saints V Pompey match, seek out a confrontation, then shoot a couple of Skates who started in self defence.
  11. Has to go down in history as the Word’s shittest jihadi. I guess you miss out on the 72 virgins if you fuck it up and just kill yourself and wreck a scouser’s taxi.
  12. We had a great time at Knebworth on the 2nd day, we managed to get in the pit right at the front which was only half full during the support acts so we’re stretched out having a beer on the grass with The Charlatans, Manics, Cast etc playing about 20ft away. Agree about the traffic though, it was taking so long to get out we just slept in the car.
  13. That's bollocks, you don't walk into the Liverpool first XI and make them a better team if you are not a top player.
  14. True, that's what screwed us up last season. It was a perfect storm of a crazy schedule due to Covid, shallow squad, injuries and going for it in the cup which meant we dropped off in the league. Most sensible people realised that and didn't call for the manager's head. If we are reasonably safe in the league then I would prefer to go for a cup again.
  15. That's fine as long as all the voters are aware that the person they elect will be treating the job as a part-time hobby. None of his constituents interviewed on the news last night seemed to have been aware or be happy about it.
  16. The Northern Ireland border was always going to be the big issue with Brexit and Bozo has just kicked the can down the road, his initial bullshit, if you remember, was that the problem could easily be solved with technology. Then he bullshitted the EU but signing a protocol he had no intention of implementing, then bullshitted the British public again by saying it was the best deal ever. The way the Conservatives are going about it is potentially quite dangerous, I guess there can be a fudged deal to be done but the simple fact is there has to be a border somewhere.
  17. You support a club that spent £15million on Wesley Hoet and you think £20mill for Nathan Ake was a bad signing.
  18. Not really the same though is it, Bournemouth had to build a Prem team after getting promoted Ralph inherited an established Prem team. Having said that, I’m a big fan of Howe but it’s still an odd appointment for Newcastle in their current situation. In my opinion they should have gone for a big name to attract the better players, the fans will soon turn on a Howe if they don’t start well.
  19. By Prem standards you can’t really say Bournemouth had a massive budget, they spent a lot for Bournemouth but they seemed pretty much in line with most other teams at the bottom end. And even with money they are still only Bournemouth, there is a limit to the player they can attract. The season they went down they got fucked by injuries, and by players like Wilson, Ake and Fraser having their heads turned. IMO keeping Bournemouth up that long was a pretty good achievement.
  20. They wouldn't necessarily. But if the club receive a ridiculous amount for any player it might mean the team can be improved overall with a few signings. It obviously all depends on how much they get, what replacements they have lined up and what our position is in the league as to wether it makes sense to sell.
  21. The shopping trolly is all over the place again.
  22. Because the pile of cash obviously might not be anywhere as big in the summer. Every player has their price - if you know the club are desperate and are owned by someone for whom money is no object you can name the price. Come the summer Newcastle might not be desperate or even interested.
  23. Read my first answer, the incentive is a big pile of cash.
