Perhaps that is the difference between the two clubs. It WAS a great day, We played a Prem team, had ANOTHER full house, and played them off the park for 75 mins. As I said before, not many Saints fans expected to win. It was a one-off cup game and we are going great guns in our league. It really DIDN`T hurt. I know that that`s not what P*mpey fans want to hear but it`s true. That probably hurts you more than the defeat hurt us.

The fact was that deep down, not many of us really expected to win. Hoped, yes but we were in a "no lose" situation. We were a third division team playing an admittedly poor PL team. The fact that we outplayed you for 75 minutes made me proud. The fact that we lost actually means nothing to me and I'm sure that a lot of Saints fans feel the same.

I was sat in the traffic coming away from the ground this afternoon when someone tapped on my window. I looked around and it was Ian Branfoot! He was with Lew Chatterley and wanted to know where the road that we were on led to. I felt like I had had an acid-type flashback to the early 90`s! I just wish that I had been able to discuss his time as The Dell with him and how much I enjoyed it!:smt009:mad:

As I posted earlier on this thread I have tickets for Dara O`Briain, John Bishop, Jason Manford and Reginald D Hunter for later this year. Really looking forward to all of them.

Haven`t seen Rhod Gilbert live, although I think that he is in Southampton later this year. People that I have enjoyed seeing live recently are Stewart Francis, Lee Mack and Milton Jones. Worst "comedian" by far was Paddy McGuiness at The Guildhall last year. A very short unfunny act.

Saw Peter Kay at the Apollo a few years ago and it has to be said, he was bloody funny. Having said that, he has certainly gone off the boil over recent years.

And who was instrumental in bringing the al Mirage Brothers to FP? Who was in talks with them when Sacha "sold" to the potless Sheik (who was introduced to the club by Dave Richards of the PL)? It was Pete!!
