  1. Absolutely this. I'm afraid I'm not having this - not one jot of it. Like patriotism, blaming fans is the last act of a coward. RM knows he has been found out, and that this is not working. As supporters we have put up with an unrelenting and unmitigated diet of sh1t over the last three seasons, and the VERY LEAST we should expect of our new amazing manager is to set us up solidly with players whose individual transfer fees are higher than the value of Ipswich's team - and make us COMPETITIVE. It's fuc4ing scandalous that the manager is having a pop at the fans. I travel 240-miles round trip for each home game, have yet again bought a season ticket (sanity check incoming) and for him to even CONSIDER having a go at us is lamentable and pathetic in equal measure. Sort it out, Martin, or get gone. You've nowhere near enough credit in the bank to be taking swipes at loyal supporters who part with their hard earned every week.
  2. Gonna go out on a limb here….but Martin has learnt the square root of fuck all since Friday. If anything, that midfield is worse than v Leicester! Jesus Christ…..
  3. I think this is the biggest concern for me currently. RM has stated, explicitly, that he will live or die by the sword he has created for himself. If that means he refuses to change or becomes stubborn to the point of allowing the same mistakes to occur, then as somebody above posts, it will get ugly pretty quickly. This is the one area I think he and maybe JW is not understanding - as a fan base we are not like Swansea or MK Dons; we have been very, very poorly served over the last 3-5 years at home in particular and have seen our status plummet. Martin doesn't have the luxury of time or earned patience. Thus, if tomorrow takes a similar path to Friday night I fear for his future. I want him to succeed more than anything; but he has to be a pragmatist as well as an ideologue.
  4. Guilty. I was having a bad day. Soz.
  5. Please, please, please can somebody at the club take note of this. Common fucking footballing sense. Spot on.
  6. I think that’s a great idea for a new megastore product - ‘The Bazunu Basket’. The perfect Easter gift.
  7. It’s such a nothing piece though. Poor from Alfie as he’s better than that. It says no more than the tweet from the polish media! We don’t know what the injury is or how serious.
  8. Bednarek off injured after 34 mins of Poland game….
  9. But again….if we’re below top 6 at Christmas, they will know they have a decision to make. SR’s investment doesn’t improve by our staying in the Championship. We have to go up. SR know this and have publicly said as much; RM knows this; Wilcox knows this. So if it’s not looking likely around early Jan, they will have to act. Either way - we hope - Saints will benefit.
  10. I'd say that is pretty much spot on. KS won't be ready by then but if he's fit enough, stick him on the bench to run riot in the last 20 minutes. Vestergaard is currently playing CB for Leicester; Sulemana would have a field day!
  11. Yes, some have - but you'll get that with any fan base and any appointment. But there are a lot of people being very reasonable too, who understand that this is one loss in 5 (which, regardless of any other arguments, would equate to 9 across a season - fewer than when we were promoted in 2011-12!) and who know this process of change is going to take time. That said, the concerns expressed are not unreasonable. Yesterday was appalling from minute zero and didn't improve. RM has accepted responsibility and his anger was palpable. I believe we will see improvement, and like many, many others really want RM to succeed; but as I and others have said, SR will not muck about if we see too much of this between now and Christmas. I would expect top 6 by then as a bare minimum. No discussion, no mitigation. RM will know that too. He absolutely has to deliver this season. And if he doesn't he will be gone.
  12. Give your head a wobble FFS....
  13. Indeed! 🤣
  14. It’s a good point. In the club post-match interview (more candid than other broadcast media interviews I feel) RM is fuming about how we took the corner (Mara) before we were set up allowing them to break. He clearly recognises it and doesn’t get why players didn’t follow instructions.
  15. I can’t find a way to paste the link from the app but there’s an Interesting club video interview post-match - RM a bit more candid and forthright than with broadcast media. Worth a watch. Covers most of the same things we’ve been discussing.
  16. I don’t think they will have much choice. Dragan has put a significant amount of cash into the club and he like the whole of SR know that the way to get a return on that investment is to be in the ‘promised land’ (yeah, I know) of the PL. I could be wrong of course; the stated intent to get promoted at the first time of asking could translate in reality to being prepared to wait two seasons. But parachute payments drop further next year and all the while we are in the championship we are missing out on valuable income. If we are in or in touch with the top 6 at Christmas I can see SR being content - If not happy - with that. But mid table? Not so sure. Yesterday’s result should be a very serious wake up call. RM ignores it at his peril.
  17. On a purely objective level, SR, Wilcox et al have stated multiple times that the aim this year is promotion and I don’t think they meant via the play offs. Today was a shit show, no question. RM needs to reflect, adjust and improve our defensive performance in particular. But if this keeps happening and we find ourselves mid table or worse by Christmas, then I genuinely think SR will pull the trigger. You can have all the alignment and pure footballing philosophy you like, but if we don’t win games, we ain’t getting promoted and I genuinely can’t see SR allowing that to happen

  19. Burnley lost 5-2 in one of their first 5 games last season. Not 5-0 but still….
  20. Weirdly he came closest to scoring for us! 🤣🤣🤣
  21. With all we knew we would go through before the close of the transfer window, would we have taken 2 points off the auto places at the start of the season?
  22. Hoedt OG….
  23. Leicester, Ipswich and Norwich currently all losing.
