Yeah thats the one, I remember something about him trying to make super chickens or something. Had a Lathe in his front room that he used to get rid of the crutches his mum used. Didnt his dad go missing in France or something? My ole man took us for a walk a few night later to the house in Nordik Gardens. We took bats and sticks and everything thinking the place might be haunted or something. lol. In fact I remember he only took us all up to the house so that we would set foot in my uncles house again. lol Dont think the old bill knew exactly what he did with the body's. Think the conviction was based on the metal stamp that pinged off the crutches and into the filings on the lathe rather than finding any body parts. Disolving in acid was probably one of the options that they couldnt prove. True or not I have no idea.

For me I would choose Exeter of the 2. Looks better, they have done loads to improve the city centre and the shopping aint bad there now. Night life is better in Plymouth by far as long as you can avoid the Navy folk and janner chavs. Both have Uni's which improves the nightlife no end. All the best surfing spots are north devon and cornwall but all do-able for a day trip. I live in Torquay which suits me fine. I only go out in Plymouth or occasionally Exeter and can get to either in under 45 mins for a fiver on the train. I used to live in Ivybridge (S-Hole) and couldnt go out in Plym without a scrap. Those days are long gone though and it really is a good night out there now.

years and Years ago there was a weirdo bloke who topped his mum and dad in Hedge End. Im sure there was a tv doc on at some point that went into the whole thing. The house they used for the Doc was my uncles (before he had it) and the hos his mum was in was where my mum worked. Wanted to find the doc for years but could never remember much information it all so searching is not easy. Anyone else remember?

IMO, 1) They have permission to ask the FL if they can sign any player to cover problem positions and to allow them to get to the 20 player limit. 2) The FL then look at there squad and give them permission to sign Sonko as long as he is playing in goal. 3) Sonko looks at other offers

And they still have this ones wagers to pay out for a bit longer. Lol http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6280730,00.html

With a saints head on I agree with you. But if it was any other team my football head on would want to see punishment followed by a new start. I don't think I would want to see a team gone forever. I'd like to see the skates pushed as far to the edge as possible but to survive to keep the option of another derby some time in the future.

CSA is screwed. I think the system is set up to catch the absent parents that couldnt give a toss and to hammer them. But instead of going after them its all about numbers so they hammer the parents that hold there hands up to support there kids. I have my kids every weekend from Fri night till Monday morning and we split the holidays 50/50. That 1 night a week extra my ex gets the kids during term time means I have to pay around 20% of my wages. My ex works full time and has got married to a guy who also works full time. They get all the benifits for the kids and the tax relief to go along with that. Personally I think that as she has them 3 days a week and I have them 3 days a week we are even for those 3 days. the extra day she has them I should be liable for. On top of that there are things like school uniforms and trips which I think we should both be liable for but it doesnt match up to anything like they think I should pay. I cant argue it though, there is no-one to argue it too. I also feel that if I do try to argue it only looks like I am one of those tossers that doesnt want to support his kids. CSA have only recently informed me that they have messed up for over 1 year and havnet been charging me enough. They take the money straight from my wages and tell my work how much they want. So to find out im nearly £1000 in arrears was a bit of a shock to say the least. What can I do about it???? Naff all!!!! They wanted to take out nearly £300 per month to get rid of the arrears which would have left me with bugger all after bills pretty much. Told them I would be handing my notice in at work as I would get more on benifits if they went down this route. Got them to reduce the arrears payments to £170 but it only helps a bit. What annoys me the most though, is if I have just one of my kids 1 night a week extra, I will have to pay nothing at all. And if both kids decide they want that one extra night with me then there mum has to pay me. I think the system sucks and far too often the tossers who couldnt give a stuff about there kids get away with it all and the decent parents that stand by there kids get screwed over. My wifes little boy is 7 years old and has seen nothing from his so called father. What have the CSA done about his case? Someone else I know fiddles things that much that on his £400 per week job as a taxi driver he somehow has to pay just £5 per week to 3 kids he couldnt give a monkeys about. At what stage does the taking away of passports and driving license happen? When does the court case happen for these absent parents who couldnt give a stuff? CSA is quiet happy to phone me with the arse on about a mistake they made demanding that I go without and make my kids go without when they are with me just so they can say "oh look at us, we have made another nasty dad pay up" CSA is a scam set up to massage numbers for what ever gov is in place and its the decent people who end up having to pay the most.

That article almost makes it sound believeable. The bit at the top however makes it really un-believeable. I cant remember seeing an article that started with "The Daily Echo" having anything worth following up. So an ex england striker coming to League 1 reported by the Daily Echo seems like its out of a fantasy fairy tail book. His quotes seem to fit us though. But Pards looking for competition for Lambert suggests he doesnt fit. Why would we need 3 quick strikers in DC, LB and DV?

Its a bit of a shame that Mulwhinney has gone cause Im sure he would have finished them off. This new guy must be aware of what was trying to be achieved and I would have thought have the same remit with making sure the FL is a fair playing field. Will have to wait and see if he is as ruthless or a bit fair'er. Personally I thought Mulwhinney was over the top so to come back a level or 2 would be a good thing. The sonko thing was announced by someone at Poopy just waiting for a green light from the FL. If the special dispensation has been given to sign 3 players like has been stated in the press, surly that would be the green light that is needed? So with nothing official about the sonko deal I can only assume the special dispensation is not as much of a green light that is hoped from the blue few. What comes out in the press from poopy is not and has not been anything to get excited about. If we believe them then it would be very easy to believe they have got away with everything. The people we should believe are waiting for the court date to come and pass before they say anything. The least we can do is wait till they speak up.

But thats where the FL will be reviewing things on a case by case basis to make sure things like that dont happen. I know the other clubs didnt get much help but so far the only help I can see the FL giving them will be in the keeper department. I think they will be told to whistle for anyone else as long as they have a squad as strong as theres currently is. If they lose 10 of there highest earners then the FL might help them with loans, freebee's and dross from lower leagues. I doubt very much they will help them build a promotion chasing team. I think the FL are also waiting to see 1st when the court case will be and then if its soon they will wait to find out how it goes. If its not going to happen till October then they change there mind a little. But at no point will the FL move anything to bail them out. They will mearly do enough to make sure they are not the cause for Poopy to fold completly.
-
I dont think the FL have helped them at all yet. Special dispensation may have been given to sign 3 players or they may have agreed to look at things on a case by case basis. My view is that if Poopy turn up saying they want to sign a keeper or 2 cause currently they have none then the FL will agree to bringing Ashdown back in and maybe 1 other. However, if they turn up saying they need another striker so they dont have to play the kids then the FL will tell them to get knotted. Reducing there squad to below 20 might come back to bite them. The FL know who they have in there squad and while they will be happy to let Poopy reduce costs by shipping out there high earners, they will not be happy about them getting rid of the cheaps to bring in more expensive. Word came out about dispensation to sign 3 last week, still no word on the Sonko deal that was all ready to go according to Poopy last week. How ready was ready????

I don't think cominication is worse than it has been. I think they could have done some things better but they have allot to learn and I expect things to improve in time. That survey doesn't say 30% don't use the OS. It says 30% don't use it as there 1st port of call. That could mean they 1st see saints news on sky sports or something and from that they visit the OS to find out more. I use this site more than the OS but if I want to know facts then I wait till it's on the OS as at that point I know something really has happened. Believing some of the tripe on here before the OS has communicated anything would be stupid. So the OS is the primary place to find saints related factual news. 30% of those surveyed don't wait pressing F5 all day obviously.

I am not supporting them for getting more players. But trying to view it as if it were any club, no money and in admin, keepers out of contract and under a transfer embargo, i think it's fair for the league to allow a loan or freebee from lower league to come in to allow the club to compete. Best chance of paying any debts off is if the club is still going so it seems fair for the FL to do enough to keep them going. They seem to have stated they will deal with things case by case so if they manage to get wid of the 5 or so they would like to, I would expect the league to let them bring in a keeper or 2 + up to 2 outfield players from youth or lower league loans. Anything else would be an insult to any other team that has run it's self into trouble but taken the correct steps to try to get out of it.
-
Funny how one bit says that the 3 are probably Ashdown, Jordan and Sonko and a few lines later they say, "Now the hunt is on for recruits ahead of the season-opener on August 7 at Coventry." I think the FL are right to let them replace expensive players for cheaper ones so if KPB goes then they should be able to bring in someone cheaper but the FL should keep an eye on them getting rid of cheap to bring in expensive as it will no doubt be just another attempt to flip the bird to the FL and all other clubs in the pooh.

Hands up who wanted Billy Davies here a while back? lol EDIT: That said, Charlton fans thought all of Pardew's decissions were retarded too.

Certainly hard to believe anything that AA says as time and time again his promises have come to nothing. This court case could be good news for pompy ultimatly. Short term it probably wont feel like it but if the truth comes out fully and who ever is in charge goes about things in the right way in future then the Cheat tag will start to fade and you might be able to look forward to seeing PFC moving in the right direction (for you).
-
I can understand the FL letting your lot sign a keeper or 2 due to the situation you have in that area. The way your lot have carried on in the past it wouldnt suprise me if the FL say yes to a couple of players thinking you will go after keepers and you will go and sign outfield players thinking that oyou will get a 2nd chance to sign keepers later on. Didnt the FL say they are waiting to find out how the appeal is going to play out before they make any decissions on letting your lot sign anyone?
-
Is it not the administrator that is responsable for these costs? Being a debt that was incured via the hand of the administrator after he had taken control of the club and all that....

AA is becoming a SFC Legend. lol

There have been a few times in the past where clubs over there state one thing but in reality something different actually happens. Not saying it hasnt happened but with poopy so short of money you would have thought SSN or something would have covered it somewhere. EDIT: Actually I have just seen this back on the 8th July. I thought it was after this that he said he is not going over there which maybe why we think he hasnt gone but doesnt really matter. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_6252862,00.html

Has he gone yet or has that one stalled also? Ive seen reports of where players seem to be off too but not seen any of them get completed yet.

Cheers CS, I knew someone had emails the FL. Nice to see they are keeping tabs on the situation and not waiting for something to sneek up on them. All aa's blustering means nothing until the FL make a decission. Thats not going to happen it seems until they know 1, when the appeal court hearing will be heard and 2, the results of that hearing if its in the next few weeks. If it doesnt happen till October I guess they will make a decission now but it may be even more limiting than the blue few are hoping for.
-
Not sure who they have been using in goal on there states tour but I guess it might have been ashdown who they released at the end of the season and now have back in on trial. Wouldnt be suprised if the FL let them get him back in and possibley A N Other keeper. Still waiting to hear the thoughts of the FL on Poopy's blatent side step of the embargo though. I very much doubt they will be happy about it but what is there that they can do about it? Do Poopy have to get the go ahead from them to get anyone in even if they are under the 20 mark or can they just go ahead and do it? No comformation of the Sonko deal yet so I presume they need the nod from the FL. Didnt someone post on here an email they sent to the FL regarding all this? Was there ever a response?

I dont think anyone would mind if they shipped out as many high earners as they could and also not renewed contracts that were up when they could bring in cheaper players from lower leagues or play there reserve/youth's in a bid to keep costs down until they are on more stable footing. There plan however is to get rid of enough players from both the top end of the earners right down to the bottom end of the earners and it seems like they will be paying contracts up to get rid of a few more, all so they can go out shopping for players that will help them in there promotion push back to the prem. If they get rid of a kid on 3k per week and sign a CCC experienced player on 5K per week its hardly cutting costs and it takes the P out of any embargo in place. I dont thik there are any rules that cover this either way so everyone is kind of waiting for the FL to make a decission. Its got naff all to do with the FA though. The FL have been known to change the rules to suit as they did with us taking a points deduction for our parent company going into admin. The rules in place covered us but the FL didnt see it that way and made changes. It seems the rules in place may cover Poopy but the FL could scupper there plans at any given time. Would be nice to hear what there stance on it is though.

The decission to publicly state how they aim to get around the transfer embargo cant have been a very good one. The FL must be looking into there options or must at some point contact Poopy to warn them or something. If they let Poopy go ahead and ditch players then after tell them to swivel when they want to sign more they could be accused of sticking the boot in too. not that I mind but the Press would lap it up with sympathy for the bestest fans in the world I still dont see what Lampit is doing there. All the jobs you would expect him to be taking care of seem to be handled by AA. Didnt he come from the Prem high ranks? Not sure if that will help him that much in the FL as they have always seem to have been a law to themselves but he may as well make himself useful and do something. They still seem to be a shambles where other clubs that have gone into admin seem to have at least steadied the ship whilst not being in a good state.
