  1. From everything I heard he jumped rather wait to be pushed. What a fcking waste of a season, we're still not out of it by any stretch, but I feel more comfortable. Those involved in almost gambling away our future should play no part in future decisions. With every win, it actually undermines those who made that ridiculous decision last summer.
  2. Absofckinglutely!!!! Wotte's fine performances just highlight the appalling decision taken last year.
  3. Is incorrigle another name for a prck? Tried to google the word but nothing came up.
  4. I'm sorry, but I can't really thank poortvliet for anything to be honest. He took this Club to the brink, so I don't particularly feel the need to thank hom for anything.
  5. Blackpool lost, as did Barnsley & Charlton, so let's take something from those. Still think it will go to the wire, but we have a much better chance now, not least because we have found some form. Regardless of other results, three points at Ipswich is very, very good.
  6. Middle of play off season!!!!
  7. But we're on the up, whilst others are on the slide. We aren't out of it, but you'd like to think that given the current form for us and our rivals, we will soon pull clear.
  8. It was indeed, it was the last few games of that run in. You just have to ask what the fck were we doing for the first 28 games of the season. Get the balance right, get a good mix of players, get the formation tight, play players where they're comfortable, don't try anything extraordinary, make sure everyone knows their job. It really isn't fcking rocket science and you don't have to reinvent the wheel.
  9. Blackpool have lost 0-1 FT.
  10. LMFAO What the fck were we doing for the first 28 games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. That Blackpool score could be the start of the end for them. Think they disappeared off the radar for a bit, but they are sht.
  12. That's much better. All rivals drawing, with Barnsley losing. Let's have a quick Saga hat trick to ease our worries and then a few pints!!!!!!
  13. Maybe, but they are at home & Preston are no great shakes. If we match some and improve on others after an awya match, then I'll settle for that. We must just keep ahead, that's all!!!!
  14. Or even a Watford win as they have a couple of games in hand, whereas Plymouth have played one more (current score is arguably worst case for us, but given our score and the other games, then I'd accept one poor result).
  15. It's an irrelevant result to me. Charlton are fcked and Donny had 9 points and 8 goals on us before tonights game.
  16. They are either being polite, drunk, blind or bullshtting!!!!! Let's just say we need to keep Pery and Saiejs fit!!!!
  17. Anyone know the Donny score;)
  18. I can only presume you haven't seen his cameo substitute appearances. Let's just say, very concerning!!!!
  19. If all stays the same then still in bottom thre, but: 9 points clear of Charlton 3 points clear of Norwich (with game in hand) 1 point behind Forest (effectively 2 with GD, but have game in hand) 2 points behind Barnsley (effectively 3 with GD, but have played 2 games more) 2 points behind Watford (effectively 3 with GD, but have played 2 games more) 3 points behind Blackpool (effectively 4 with GD, but have game in hand)
  20. Just need to hang on for another 45 mins and this will be a big, big result. Blackpool, Forest and Norwich all goalless. Plymouth winning 1-0 Barnsley 2-0 down
  21. The decision to boot Pearson out is perplexing when you look at it in that light, as arguably he ticked all the boxes which Lowe normally likes, good coaching skills, young(ish), up and coming, no history, English, works with youngsters etc etc etc. In fact, when you look at it like that then you wonder if the decision to get rid of him was more out of a fit of pique due to him being a Crouch appointment. And you can always rest assured that the majority of emotional decisions are very often the ones that turn out to be mistakes. And when you look at Poortvliet and compare him back to that Wigley comment: "I make no apologies for giving up and coming young English managers or players a start to their career", then you have to say that Poortvliet was neither young, not English LOL. If you ask me, he makes these things up as he goes along;)

  23. I quite agree that we can only hope that this mini revival consolidates into something stronger and we start to see benefits on and off the pitch. In last seasons run in, attendances went up under Crouch, so hopefully we can replicate that again this year.
  24. Poortvliet believed that the senior players did not play on the same wavelength as the youngsters and so was reluctant to play them!!!! I can only presume you don't go to matches, don't read what is being said by many and have a tenuous grasp on reality, if you think what you are seeing & hearing now is comparable to what we were seeing under Poortvliet. The "first choice team" now has only three youngsters (1 @ 20 and 2 @ 21) and has much better balance and look to it, even then 21 is not young compared to some of the players who were playing, but the main difference is the balance. We've lost two from the Revolutionary Coaching Set Up and the experiment was rightly halted by Wotte, who obviously saw the same deficiencies as the majority of the fans (which was also bleeding obvious from a cursory glance at the table). The financial pressures remain the same and Wotte is still working within some rather tight constraints, but the strategy on the pitch is massively different and sacking your manager and changing your style so much is worthy of being described as a U turn (although if it makes you happy, you can call it a tweak, but it still doesn't prevent Plan A from being called a failure after 6/7 months).
  25. I'd like to think we could get a draw, so I'm plumping for 1-1 The only problem with tomorrow is the three teams above us are at home, Forest v Preston Blackpool v Burnley Plymouth v Watford A few draws wouldn't go amiss there either. Saturday's fixtures are somewhat iffy as well with us at Brum and Blackpool v Norwich Forest v Swansea Plymouth v Reading If we can stay in touch even after these two away games, then we could be alright.
