If you take out the Plymouth game where he arrived the day before (or on that day depending on who you talk to), then his record was 16 points from 13 games. Not play off stuff, but certainly not relegation material either. This was without a pre season, after inheriting a team that was sinking (lost 4 out of the previous 5 games) etc etc etc. His initial record was to lose none of his first 5 games (he only lost 3 out of 13). His form was mid table stuff. Last season over 46 games, his 13 game form would have had us 14th/15th This season after 28 games, his 13 game form waould have us 14th/15th I think would have been good enough to keep the fans on side.

Two points on this one: 1. The same apologist claptrap was spouted last time we went down, in that at least we would win some games, we can gain repromotion stronger. Going down will be no walk in the park and if Poortvliet was still in charge I wouldn't be surprised if we struggled down in Division 3!!!!!! 2. If staying up in this season is playing havoc with our finances, then what affect do you think relegation would have on them???

Interesting bit about being strange and edgey as I've heard a bit more today. I still have no idea on who he is, but have heard some snippets that he has upset many at SMS as well as at other Clubs with his behaviour. Don't want to say too much as it's all a bit patchy at the moment, but find it weird that no one knows he is? nickh, you've got an in into the Club, why don't you try and find out who this man is and what his role is?

My concern as well. I'm worried that the spirit has gone, the youngsters have been blooded too early & their progress set back, the transfer window wasted etc etc etc. That said, other teams have managed to turn things around, Forest are 5th in the 8 game Current Form Table and Doncaster 9th, so here's hoping.

They did not get to talk about money!!!!!!!!! The line they were trying to spin after he was sacked was that Pearson would have cost too much due to his playing staff requirements. An assumption/propaganda story that is out of kilter with Pearson's previous statements, and something not being borne out at Leicester where last night the majority of his team were youngsters. Anyone who thinks Pearson was sacked because he would have cost too much is not in the real world.

Not so sure. Cowen is understood to be seriously underwhelmed by it all. Wilde was so stunned and scared he had to be escorted out and Jones will go with the flow. Lowe certainly will support Poortvliet, but I think there may well be a push from the others to change things. It's whether Lowe will bute the bullet and admit he got it wrong (again). I can see that it is very possible that he is too stubborn and will plough on in an attempt to be proved right, so I can see where you're coming from, but I just think it's now come to a head and soemthing needs to be done. Not sure what some of the othe power brokers think e.g. Richards & Askham etc, but understand they're not particularly phased by the demonstrations, probably just dismissing them as a minority in the same way they did with the Branfoot protests. They only got jittery when people withdrew their custom.

Leicester did last night: Take out Howard and Oakley who are older than me  then also Dyer who is over the hill at 26 and their ages were: 23, 21, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 22 "That shyt3 manager Pearson would only work with old warhouses who would have cost us a fortune." "He would never have used the youth" "He would have wanted to have spent loads." "We couldn't afford him". "Just look at the calibre of the side he inherited".

If people can't be ar5ed to give up 30 mins drinking time, then we end up with what we deserve. If you're that desperate for a pint, then get there 30 mins early. Some will be saying they have to get a bus after as well. Before, after and then relentless for me.

Following on from my thread last night about Hockaday which has turned out to be on the money, I was told in the same conversation that we have a "Football Advisor" at St Mary's who reports direct to Lowe. The name given to me was something like Tim Van Der Witte. Have no idea where he fits in in the scheme of things, but the stories I have heard is that he is none too popoular here, or at other clubs!!!! He was mentioned at the same time as Hockaday as my contact reckons he was involved in some way with Hockaday's departure. So who exactly is he??? What's his experience??? What's his role??? How much is he costing??? Does Poortvliet report to him??? Why hasn't it been made public??? Bullshyt, gossip, tittle tattle, I have no idea, but considering it came in the same conversation as Hockaday being booted out, then I think it might have some legs. I was always led to believe that Hockaday had Lowe's ear, but maybe there is a new Rasputin at St Mary's. Anyone got any better contacts???? Considering the stewards have to be informed of all people who walk the corridors of SMS (according tothe Echo re the Armstrong saga), then surely someone must be able to get a name.

What would you do Manji???? Would you stick with Poortvliet, or relieve him of his duties????

So my source was correct on this one then. Time for a new thread to see if we d indeed have a new Football Advisor in town.

Only a rumour at present!!!!!! Could turn out to be as reliable as him seeing Houlier in reception when we were looking a manager!!!!!

Something to do with the Charge of the Light Brigade????? Was actually trying to find a way of passing on another snippet from my reliable/unreliable source who reckons Lowe hasn't been there in two weeks and also responding to some PM's and other posts suggesting there was a meeting planned for yesterday/today. I'm not even sure Lowe is doing two days a week at the moment???? Did he go to barnsley???
-
There was no meeting at SMS between Lowe and anyone else yesterday. Apparently the last time Lowe was seen at SMS was the Man Yoo game (unless anyone can prove my contact to be blind or lying LOL).
