  1. My concern as well. I'm worried that the spirit has gone, the youngsters have been blooded too early & their progress set back, the transfer window wasted etc etc etc. That said, other teams have managed to turn things around, Forest are 5th in the 8 game Current Form Table and Doncaster 9th, so here's hoping.

  3. They did not get to talk about money!!!!!!!!! The line they were trying to spin after he was sacked was that Pearson would have cost too much due to his playing staff requirements. An assumption/propaganda story that is out of kilter with Pearson's previous statements, and something not being borne out at Leicester where last night the majority of his team were youngsters. Anyone who thinks Pearson was sacked because he would have cost too much is not in the real world.

  5. Not so sure. Cowen is understood to be seriously underwhelmed by it all. Wilde was so stunned and scared he had to be escorted out and Jones will go with the flow. Lowe certainly will support Poortvliet, but I think there may well be a push from the others to change things. It's whether Lowe will bute the bullet and admit he got it wrong (again). I can see that it is very possible that he is too stubborn and will plough on in an attempt to be proved right, so I can see where you're coming from, but I just think it's now come to a head and soemthing needs to be done. Not sure what some of the othe power brokers think e.g. Richards & Askham etc, but understand they're not particularly phased by the demonstrations, probably just dismissing them as a minority in the same way they did with the Branfoot protests. They only got jittery when people withdrew their custom.

  7. Leicester did last night: Take out Howard and Oakley who are older than me  then also Dyer who is over the hill at 26 and their ages were: 23, 21, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 22 "That shyt3 manager Pearson would only work with old warhouses who would have cost us a fortune." "He would never have used the youth" "He would have wanted to have spent loads." "We couldn't afford him". "Just look at the calibre of the side he inherited".

  9. If people can't be ar5ed to give up 30 mins drinking time, then we end up with what we deserve. If you're that desperate for a pint, then get there 30 mins early. Some will be saying they have to get a bus after as well. Before, after and then relentless for me.

  11. Following on from my thread last night about Hockaday which has turned out to be on the money, I was told in the same conversation that we have a "Football Advisor" at St Mary's who reports direct to Lowe. The name given to me was something like Tim Van Der Witte. Have no idea where he fits in in the scheme of things, but the stories I have heard is that he is none too popoular here, or at other clubs!!!! He was mentioned at the same time as Hockaday as my contact reckons he was involved in some way with Hockaday's departure. So who exactly is he??? What's his experience??? What's his role??? How much is he costing??? Does Poortvliet report to him??? Why hasn't it been made public??? Bullshyt, gossip, tittle tattle, I have no idea, but considering it came in the same conversation as Hockaday being booted out, then I think it might have some legs. I was always led to believe that Hockaday had Lowe's ear, but maybe there is a new Rasputin at St Mary's. Anyone got any better contacts???? Considering the stewards have to be informed of all people who walk the corridors of SMS (according tothe Echo re the Armstrong saga), then surely someone must be able to get a name.

  13. What would you do Manji???? Would you stick with Poortvliet, or relieve him of his duties????

  15. So my source was correct on this one then. Time for a new thread to see if we d indeed have a new Football Advisor in town.

  17. Only a rumour at present!!!!!! Could turn out to be as reliable as him seeing Houlier in reception when we were looking a manager!!!!!
  18. 19. Something to do with the Charge of the Light Brigade????? Was actually trying to find a way of passing on another snippet from my reliable/unreliable source who reckons Lowe hasn't been there in two weeks and also responding to some PM's and other posts suggesting there was a meeting planned for yesterday/today. I'm not even sure Lowe is doing two days a week at the moment???? Did he go to barnsley???
  20. There was no meeting at SMS between Lowe and anyone else yesterday. Apparently the last time Lowe was seen at SMS was the Man Yoo game (unless anyone can prove my contact to be blind or lying LOL).
  21. Can anyone shed any light on this because the rumour mill is churning out that he may have been elbowed out??? The story goes that Hockaday is on gardening leave as a result of a decision by Lowe's "football advisor". Which brings me on to my next point about whether or not we have another Dutch bloke behind the scenes (and I'm not on about Gorre or Wotte)???? Did someone else on here mention that we have another Dutch fella working at the Club, if so who, why and when? A little birdy is telling me that we do indeed have a Dutch football advisor who reports directly to Lowe. What's the score with this fella, anyone confirm his name (Tim Van Der Witte or something???). This guy is normally on the money (but he has also got some stuff spectacularly wrong), so not 100% on this, but any contributions would be welcome.
  22. I wouldn't be at all surprised if some use it in an attempt to divert attention from the more pressing problems we face, namely the incompetence of Jan and Lowe. The support this season has been pretty good (considering the numbers) and there has been minimal booing or slating of the players. If anything I think the crowd has been more supportive than in previous seasons as they appreciate that many of these lads are giving it their all. Sadly, that support has not transferred into winning games, which is why I struggle to understand how people think some booing on Saturday has such an impact on the result, when there are a myriad of other more valid and influential reasons for our failings at home this season. The fans are a sympton of our failings, they are certainly not the cause.
  23. The Trust is a perfect vehicle for fans to rally behind. One member/one vote, a rock solid constitution, Supporters Direct advice and support, etc etc etc. It is very much up to what supporters and the membership want out of it. If people think Nick is out of touch (and I think he is and have told him this personally) then it is fairly simple to do something about it as after all he has to represent his members view. It's not Nick's Trust, it's the members trust and if you want to change things then you have to roll up your sleeves and do something about it. However, that would mean getting involved which is sadly something people down here can't be ar55ed to do until things either come to a head or are too late. It could be a very powerful tool if used correctly.
