  1. spine (as long as it only popped into your mind, Mikey - if you get my drift )
  2. Just heard that the 1922 Committee are meeting. They're very unhappy with Cameron's election campaign and leadership and not happy about doing a deal with the LibDems. Can't (yet) find a link for you.
  3. Similar thing happened to us on the metro in Athens. Pretty girl tells Mr TF his rucksack has come undone. Since he had an expensive camera in there, naturally he started checking. When we got off the metro, we discovered his wallet had gone - it had been kept in a zip pocket on the knee of his combat trousers but he didn't feel a thing! Spent a happy two hours in an Athens police station (being grilled like criminals)
  4. I don't know the official name but it's known as Electric Mountain. We actually visited this place last Wednesday whilst on hols up there! Very interesting place indeed. It can respond to demand within 12 seconds which is amazing. I guess the problem is that you need two lakes to make it work and it did cost an awful lot to construct.
  5. I don't know if this has been posted already so apols if it has. On BBC 1 South, at 3.15pm Sunday afternoon, there's a programme 'Fit and Proper Persons'. "On the eve of its second FA Cup Final appearance in three years, Portsmouth are also the first Premiership football club to go into administration, and have been relegated On the eve of its second FA Cup Final appearance in three years, Portsmouth are also the first Premiership football club to go into administration, and have been relegated from English football's top flight. Tony Husband investigates the club that's had four owners in six months, couldn't pay its players' wages on time, and now has debts of 138 million pounds."
  6. Didn't FF say that, as a result of that, the judge directed the union to update its database? Isn't that what he took time off to do? And is now dismissed as a result?
  7. There's a cable car that runs from near the Olympic park to the beach - worth a ride. and here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sagrada_Fam%C3%ADlia There's a Picasso museum too.
  8. This should interest the open-minded on this forum http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2010/mar/17/ba-strike-plan-gregor-gall http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2010/mar/15/ba-strike-unite-willie-walsh So that you can get to see both sides of the story.
  9. I think every job should be measured against bog cleaners.
  10. Absolutely right - there'd be far less tactical voting than at present for example (because there wouldn't be the same need). You can't extrapolate data from one system to a different system - it's like comparing apples and pears.
  11. This is true. Also you have to factor in the fact that people might have voted differently this time if we'd had PR in operation. BTF in agreement with Dune shocker
