The Russians will never agree to 2014 borders….ever. Politically Putin can not accept significant causalities for keeping something he was already in control of. Then what?
-
Not all that? Equivalent nuclear power to the US and possibly technology more advanced. Really?
-
We agree on Obama then as per my post above. His weak response allowed further incursions and weakened the wests position now.
-
The problem is this is all commentary without anyone knowing the detail. My biggest beef relates to Obama and what the fuck he was doing during crimea. He let Putin off the hook early doors which encouraged future incursions. Trump is negotiating from a weaker position as a result
-
So why didn’t Obama and Biden put this “pressure” on? ? I put the Russian progress and now stronger position firmly at their door for not having found their balls earlier. The weaker the us were earlier in the Russian land grab the more difficult the current position is form a western perspective
-
So you don’t know whether the Trump position is a good agreement or not then because you (like I) don’t know the full extent of levers that could be used. if there are additional levers why didn’t Obama or Biden use them? I put the Russian progress and now stronger position firmly at their door for not having found their balls earlier. The weaker the us were earlier in the Russian land grab the more difficult the current position is form a western perspective Genuinely what position would you consider to be an acceptable one in terms of Russian concessions?
-
If he puts this pressure on him what do you think Putin will concede? I’m genuinely interested as to what position you think Putin would “drop” to. Do you think Putin will pull out of Ukraine and concede all new territories under his control? The biggest question is that if US presidents have this clout why did Obama and Biden not use it to reach the position you say can be achieved?
-
Anyone who says Ukraine can win this are hugely deluded. A robust agreement to end this is the best thing for all parties. Trump again will achieve something that not other US president could have

The hard left are making their move to take control of the country. Hopefully it fails but this isn’t what people voted for and what lots feared. -

Where did you get that from? The numbers yesterday said the opposite -

Must be a good policy then! -
I think you’re being slightly sensitive. I’m being respectful when saying this but maybe you spend your time in an environment which is more sensitive in respect of these matters. People are frustrated with institutions such as SFC which over prioritise certain groups and ask them to represent the fans. It’s fine for certain groups to represent fans but it should be on a proportionate basis. Some of the comments may not be to your liking but to say that some of the reading is troubling is wide of the mark, in my opinion.
-
The point is that Board is not representative of the fan base. The Club have decided in their wisdom to obtain advice from a number of people who proportionately don’t reflect our fans.

100% agree with you. A coalition of centrists. Unfortunately unlikely to happen -

I agree they are doing more than the Tories. Let’s not hold our breath though. The backbench loonies are now on this revolt this lunchtime. Trying to get themselves voted out again! -

That was a matter of fact with quotes as to why the guy is leaving. The same article is covered in a number of business publications. There are levels of bias and predetermination - this is at the most extreme end possible. The group has been put together for a sole purpose. That’s why is has no value -

Gary Stevenson don’t make me laugh. A list of “who are they?” In the business world! Might as well get fat Joe down the pub to write this. This shows your level of understanding. Goodbye https://patrioticmillionaires.uk/who-we-are -

That hurts coming from somebody who is clearly incredibly experienced in these matters. It cuts deep. They are big words but which part of what is said is “shit”? -

Yes I do think people have and will leave. Stop deflecting. This page is about the Labour Party. Not the Tories who put party before people and I wasn’t a fan off, particularly in the latter years. I didn’t vote for brexit either. The anti business policies of the Labour Party are a choice. They need to stop blaming everyone else and they are now accountable for their decisions. -

I didn’t say the Tories did a good job (at the end they were a mess) but they didn’t scare business like the current lot. That is not a good thing, including for the public sector which relies on a vibrant private sector to be funded -

Who pays a lot of taxes and I imagine one way or another supports you indirectly. As I said before careful what you wish for. With these guys leaving the budget deficit won’t be addressed through tax cuts by the next government , it will be welfare and public sector cuts (people’s jobs).
