Manage Southampton on Football Manager 2026
AlexLaw76 replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
I will download the game tomorrow, but I hope god know how many of the bugs are sorted, even for little bits like this. -

For his own good, Martin needs a period of reflection surely. Do what others have done, disappear for a short period and go and watch training at other Champ/Prem grounds...have a bit of a reset.
-
After spending a few years at Coventry, he must be settled in that part of the world. Hardly worlds away between the two.
-
This has to have been about Saints. I doubt the background picture is a coincidence.

I note many, probably with some good reason, are largely blaming the players for where we are. Given the state of last season, that seems fair enough Even on the TSP today, they largely blamed the players, quite pointedly in many cases. Lots of they are shit, could not care etc. But who do you think are the bad apples? Who is bring this house down that means are cant possibly be better than 20th (or wherever we are) in the Championship? We have a match day squad packed with new additions from the summer, along with those who were out on loan last season. So who are those bring the house down. Surely, it cant be - Jelert, Quarshie, Mads, Jander, Leo, Azaz, Fellows, Downs, Long. I cannot see it being - Stephens (new deal and skipper, right), Arma, Stewart, Charles, Edwards, Wellington, Fraser, Robinson Whilst the line above may be wrong, that leaves - Macca, Baz, THB, Wood, Downes, Archer Aribo, Edozie, Matsuki, Manning We have let so many go, amazed that it seems most of those brought in/back in the summer are seemingly fucking arseholes......or is that a convenient excuse for not placing the responsibility more on (the fucking terrible) Will Still?

Yeah, but watching at work would be so beautiful, it would be brave, and we would all feel the love
-
Others, including Aflie House, said there are plenty within the hierarchy at SFC who do not like Martin (which is reciprocal)
-
😂 You just made me think this might actually happen. We don't fuck about at this club
-
Surely, you are right here. It would be madness. He would have almost no honeymoon period and the pressure on him from day 1 would be immense. He of course, has the balls to do it and backs himself a great deal.
-
Well, at least we wont have to watch another team for our weekly Martin LOLz However, he is the only manager SR have appointed that has won more than 2 league games, so you never know LOLOLOL
-
Hardly bizarre, we have been very average at the very best. Swansea game is the only one we can really hang our hats on as being a very good performance....and they are terrible
-
I will always reflect on, yet again seeing through a manager early. But, what cannot be forgotten was how Aflie House sarcastically would get bored and tired trying to explain to Saints fans (who could not understand) how Will Still's 3/5 system was working. 😂
-
That is why Derry is a SaintsWeb poster and not an elite level football manager. Still was still horrific for SFC
-
only idiots would think that would be a good idea. Much like those demanding/hoping we kept Still until the end of the season, no matter what.
-
For me, Carrick, Robbins (little chance), and if he fancies (which I doubt) Ralph Gerrard maybe.

This is not your first time is it, I can tell 🤣

This was a long time coming. for me, it was the path set after watching us play against Wrexham. Sat deep, 5 at the back, wide open in midfield and defended for our lives (until Moore went off) - alarm bells, against fucking Wrexham. the certainty of it came against Pompey. That was pathetic, unacceptable and clear as day he had no idea what he was doing. LOL, signing Tom Fellows and playing him is some sort of shit hybrid wingback role (if he was lucky to play at all). Watching Azaz play from the right, or deep in midfield. And in his last game, just continue more of this bullshit. He was, sadly, waaaaaaay out of his depth, and was from day 1. As per, we had fans clapping along who wanted to keep him no matter what etc. Thankfully, they are wrong, and he has been rightly sacked. however, I have little faith in SR getting an adequate replacement. This squad wad comfortably good enough for top 6 from the start of the season. We should be good enough to mount a playoff challenge now. I fear that will not be realised as they will appoint some wanky fucktard as manager, or go back to Russell Martin.

Could not agree more. It was just very weird

When some of the world richest nations out-source their defence to a country thousands of miles away, bit rich to complain when the outcomes are not specifically as we would want. What are Europe doing to stop the genocide in Nigeria? What is the UK doing given our historical ties?
-
Maybe Europe should stop the genocide in…. Europe?
-
Totally agree. Players from the the team yesterday that have a fair amount of the experience we are apparently lacking... McCarthy, Mads, THB, Wood, Manning, Downes, Armstrong, Azaz Around the squad with obvious experience... Stephens, Fraser, Aribo, Stewart We loaned out.. Bree and Smallbone Players who may lack experience but have been about, and/or internationals.. Scienza, Charles, Bazunu, Wellington
