Yep. We had the top 3 spending power in the land, outside of the Premier League. We (with leeds) were in the market for a leading striker, Leeds got Piroe, we could have had nearly every other available...we chose Ross Stewart for no small fee given his injury record and contract situation. It has failed this season on that front

What a horrific signing. More so for a club that raked in record receipts for player sales at this level. We literally had the pick of almost every striker available to a team outside of the Premier League. LOL Edit - I remember the days when we had a complete blind spot for CBs, now it appears the glitch in the black box has shifted to CF. Absolutely insane, and will play a big factor in us remaining in the Championship.

I genuinely believe Che is not suited to our style. Unsure many Championship strikers playing centrally would be. We have been largely slow in getting into the attacking 3rd, with a fully loaded penalty box to deal with. Ings may do well, that is because his movement and finishing has been above championship level. Ironically, Adams is probably more suited to West Ham than Ings, currently.

Thing is with the like os 'Pep' complain about too many games. You watch, there are plenty of occasions where he wont make a sub, or if he does, it is just the 1. How often does his £50m CM (Phillips) play, let alone the others like Kovecic. Yet 'Pep' moans that Rodri is playing too much. The top clubs have more money than god. Maybe they should get their houses in order, have and utlise better squads

exactly. what is far more likely, there will be more games for all involved in this super league, that the league cup will take a hit, and the premier league will probably be cut to 18 or even 16 teams (we get constant cries of too many games as it is)
