The Millwall prat "this suits Southampton, they will slow everything down and claim everything"
-
Yeah, vertical lines are fine when our players are not being man-marked very tightly. Millwall have defended with their shape very well. THB is not Pirlo, getting him to start many of the attacks is not working. Have to find a way to beat their midfield press
-
Lets not be ridiculous and expect every team to be wide open for us to run at them. They have held a very good shape and are very tight to all of our players in the middle of the park. We have to try something else other than give to THB to try and find a Pirlo like pass

Because they are packing the space in the middle of the park…. We can’t just lump it to Arma

The co-comms on the Millwall stream is an utter dinosaur
-
Because he dived
-
They are packing midfield
-
We have to do something different other than play about in defence, give to THB to try and play into a packed midfield
-
For sure, they are generally winning the midfield battle
-
That was a great save they are closing the space down (and our players) in midfield very well.
-
Probably because they are actually closing down the space in the middle of the park
-
I am sure I have read somewhere that Millwall have lots of players unavailable....end of a 3 game week...surely too much for a small/weaker squad.

No Downs 😑

Bristol City are seemingly passing the ball around without too much agro

Pompey have one of the smallest budgets in the league (apparently). Everything about our approach to that game was a fucking disgrace. I think Quarshie costs more than their entire transfer outlay this summer alone.
-
Noted they were drawing, after the GrEaTEsT DeFENdeR EvER gave away a penalty. Just seen they have been well beaten After spending the GDP of Moldova on players in the summer, they are fucking it right up LOLz

Damion Downs - Official: Loaned to Hamburg

You'd have to imagine he can't wait to get out, probably get back to Germany (or the MLS). Either way, significant Championship amount of money wasted. -

Looks like it will be fandabi-doozie from around 2028 onwards. -
But Koeman was a world class player, and a proven manager (at saints in particular). He had credit in the bank, but if that run continued, he would have been pushed I suspect

May as well cut out the middle man and appointment Lallana now!

Good stuff.

The vast majority of its life, if not the entirety, it will not be under fire. These things are no good if they are making scarce resources (people) unavailable whilst on trials around Salisbury - and the associated costs that come with it. A small, but growing, number of squaddies may be removed from service due to the injuries sustain due to the designed. Kerching!!!
