  1. Have you ever heard the phrase 'it takes two to tango'? I suspect 2,000 text messages can be considered as a tango don't you - unless you think he sent 2,000 text messages without getting one single response, in which case he should probably be put in a secure unit.
  2. They've not been sacked... They find out next month whether they will be sacked or not...
  3. I get it, the bloke is clearly a class one dick, but this quote from that article stands out for me : 2,000 text messages? Seriously? Why would anyone continue engaging with a dick like that if the text messages 'made them feel dirty, really dirty'? Surely after the first couple she would have had more than enough 'evidence' to log a complaint against him - she was also a police officer so would have been more than aware of the level of proof needed to succesfully prosecute him. Not blocking him and not reporting him for 2 years would suggest she was, at least initially, happy to engage with him, wouldn't it?
  4. Six fingers crossed! It'll make the annual slide from the top even funnier this year
  5. Again, that's not quite right. I believe even the most stupid recruiter would have noticed that. From memory, I think they sent the same CV with the name changed multiple times, to lots of different jobs, so as to not arouse suspicion. That, though, is a flaw in the plan as the same CV wouldn't be right for lots of different jobs, which may explain the difference when it comes to interview offers...
  6. Not sure that's how it worked. The study said they used the same CV, just changed the name, so there should have been no deeming of the CVs to be any different from one another.
  7. To be fair, 'he' is a 'she'
  8. I get that and it's the sensible thing to do. Doesn't mean that you 'couldn't' have relocated to Europe if you felt that strongly about the UK - like the post that I quoted, from someone who has spent the last four years constantly berating the UK and claiming the EU is so much better....
  9. Evidence? Are we really going to lose 50% of the GDP if we don't have an FTA signed?
  10. But, but, but, but, fishing is irrelevant, it's the proverbial 'red herring', it's worth a miniscule amount to the UK's GDP so it can't possibly be of any significance to negotiations, or something like that
  11. Macron infects Europe https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-55347406
  12. We've been promoted from 3 to 2
  13. Mental! How many bona fide 'racists' are going to watch an historical drama? How many of those are going to watch an historical drama about Martin Luther King Jr?
  14. But which people need it selling to them....
  15. Fair play. I know my nephew's school have done the same thing with everyone present with cameras on for every lesson when not in school. Embarrasing that the schools around us haven't had the same philosophy but I guess the 'academy' set the rules and have the monopoly on schooling in the area.
  16. Early days yet, he's got to survive another month or so doesn't he
  17. Jesus wept! Thicker than a whale omelette! Let's start with what a 'hypothetical statement' is shall we : You can read more about for yourself here This is the bit that he says, hypothetically, should last for five years. You can tell this is hypothetical because he says "we should say we intend" and also "for say five years". Both of these bits are describing something that could happen, but hasn't actually happened. In this case, that would mean it is not 'real'. Scenarios like that when they are described and aren't actually 'real' are considered by the entire population (except you), to be 'hypothetical'. You're obsession with the 'Norway' option is quite staggering given that Barnier ruled it out years ago!
  18. Hhmmm. So, this quote : Which can be found Here Which bit of that quote isn't 'hypothetical'? Which bit of that quote says we should have a Norway status for five years? Unless you can give us a different quote, once again, you've made yourself look like a complete blithering idiot! You'd think you'd have given up by now what with the amount of times you've had your pants pulled down. As I've said before, those 'pig shit thick' people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones
  19. Not in the quote you posted he didn't, Tim, nice but dim You really are quite thick if you honestly believe that it has been our choice to decide what type of deal we could swap from and which one we could hop on to. I suspect that what he was proposing was purely hypothetical and never a realistic opportunity as has been proven during your period of hibernation.
  20. To be fair, the treatment of kids has been nothing short of a shambles during the pandemic. Lockdown 1 and they were out of school for months. The majority of schools just weren't equipped for online tutoring so kids were left to fend for themselves with little or no interaction from the school / teachers. A lot of expectation on parents to take on the role of 'teacher', people who fundamentally aren't equipped to be teaching kids, that's ignoring the fact that for a lot of parents work continued full time during lock down. Then the kids were allowed back to school, but in the case of my daughter's school (and every other school in North Somerset), entire year groups were sent home if one person tested positive. Again, they had to endure the non existent online teaching and were largely left to their own devices - we get a 'google classroom' report at the end of each week, highlighting what 'should' have been completed (why not at the beginning of the week when we had time to do something about it!!), but that has been poorly managed and is often 2/3 weeks out of date!! For kids that are due to sit their GCSEs in a couple of months, they've been pretty much abandoned for the best part of a year!
  21. But we didn't take a 'Norway-style transitional arrangement' we kept the status quo for the entire transitional period. Have you been hibernating for the past year?
  22. Your responses suggested a moderate automatic preference for Black people over White people. Your result is described as an "Automatic preference for Black people over White people" if you were faster responding when Black people and Good are assigned to the same response key than when White people and Good were classified with the same key. Your score is described as an "Automatic preference for White people over Black people" if the opposite occurred. Your automatic preference may be described as "slight", "moderate", "strong", or "no preference". This indicates the strength of your automatic preference.
  23. I'd add Sara Cox to the list.
