Schoolboy error, forgetting the bestestest parachute payments in the world that last forever and can fund everything.

ONE HUNDRED AND NINETEEN MILLION POUNDS!!! And they still went into admin owing over ONE HUNDRED MILLION POUNDS!!! That's a lot of money that has been flushed down the shitter!!!

With hindsight, liquidation was the wrong option. It would have made them think they were martyrs and no doubt they would have found someone else to blame. A season in the conference followed by liquidation on the other hand and they'd have no-one to blame. The humiliation would also be complete. Not only that but they could also claim another record; first fan-owned[sic] club to be liquidated

All the away fans in just one bubble car? Maybe.....

1948?

To be fair, Jordan stated that the number of online posters is a small percentage of skate fans : Therefore, the 'large, large number' is technically a large number of a small percentage! Which probably puts that large, large number of happy posters at around 2-3% of all skate fans

Loving knobhead neil's twist on valuing your customers. He's some piece of work isn't he?

To be fair, the plan leaves just about enough room for the redevelopment. The £10m to do it on the other hand isn't happening. I suppose there's always the Parachute Payments though

Who would celebrate St Patrick's Day?
Weston Super Saint replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Lounge
I'm celebrating the fact that a Welshman was enslaved -
I guess they all missed the snooze article the other day with their manager bemoaning the fact that there were loads of two year contracts handed out last summer. Unless you're using skate maffs, they still have a whole year left of uselessness in them, so unless they are considering administration yet again, they aren't going to be able to replace the useless bunch they currently have...

This is very true. But we didn't **** over the fact that people actually turned up to watch, then claim to have the bestest support in the whole world ever. #tinpotlesspompey

No, no way whatsoever is that a fair comment! You ask the toy salesman, when they won the FA cup they didn't have any money worries at all, none whatsoever, to even suggest they did is scandalous.

I love a mixed metaphor Is Sol really complaining that the captain of the Men's England football team has never been a woman?
-
Pretty sure you can only buy them is on the island as well... Mrs WSS saw a guy in one of their jumpers yesterday where she works in Next in Weston-S-Mare yesterday afternoon. She asked him if they still exist [knowing full well about their plight obviously] and he muttered some response about fan ownership etc.
-
Would it make any difference if they did? Apart from throwing a grand down the drain...

If any of our resident OB want to sit outside the car park with a breathalyser at around 9pm I'm sure you'll bag yourself a few nice fishes

South West Trains slammed for treatment of pregnant woman
Weston Super Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Lounge
Or, and this might be controversial, how about increasing the number of seats to match the number of people who have bought tickets at enormous expense? -
South West Trains slammed for treatment of pregnant woman
Weston Super Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Lounge
I like the way that everyone is so happy to accept that paying a small fortune for a ticket to travel on a train doesn't guarantee a seat! Frankly, if the train company sells more tickets than they have seats for people to sit on, then they are the ones at fault, pregnant or not, old or young! And yes, before anyone points out that the train companies are selling the journey / transportation and not the seat, I am aware of that, but again, it's only because 'we' have accepted this status quo that it exists.... -
Maybe they'll do a twitter feed and #factless will conveniently airbrush 'Arry's immense efforts last summer and claim theirs to be the firstest and bestest

Mack. Any idea if you've been granted access rights? If not, it looks like things could get very tricky if your new neighbours get stroppy
