I wrote on another thread that going to St Mary's is an absolute chore at the moment. I can honestly say I don't enjoy it one bit. I never ever thought I would say that about my club. How can it have got so bad that fans who have been going quite often for 30 plus years, are feeling like this. I probably only go at the moment because my lad still enjoys it, but how long will it be before his generation feels like this? There are enough kids wearing City or United shirts around town as it is. If they keep serving up this shit, there's going to be a whole generation of kids who won't bother with their hometown team.

If any sort of planning did go into it, they completely fucked it up, yet again. The team, and I mean the starting eleven should have been made up of players that were still going to be here on September 1st. Absolute waste of time playing JWP and Tella pre-season, they were never going to stay. We needed to have had all our main business done before the Sheffield game, save maybe a loan or two coming in. We were desperate for another forward, yet we even managed to fuck that up by buying one who is injured and probably won't be match fit until the end of October. The club is run by idiots whose only plan is to try and make us Manchester City.

That doesn't hold much water to be fair. Everyone connected with the club would have known we were going down by April at the latest. That's when we should have done our planning. Which should have included buying/ loaning players specifically for Martin if we were so adamant we wanted him. Fact is,we wasted the summer trying to be clever again.

To be honest, he probably couldn't do any worse. He must be on Ankerson's radar as he's pretty much failed at every job he's had, apart from a purple patch at Derby.

Am convinced the only reason we didn't sell him, and then give him a new contract was because we needed to show that there is a pathway to the first team from the Academy. He's just taking the JWP role over of being the poster boy. Of course, that fails to take into account that we never play anyone from our own Academy, preferring to bring in young players from other set ups.

Agreed. He should be tearing up this league. I was one of those who wanted him to stay, ever since the window has shut he's been appalling.

And the one position we needed a real bit of quality in, striker, we brought a fuckin injured one, who won't be on the pitch until the end of October. We are run by an absolute bunch of amateurs. Even Ruper Lowe wasn't this fuckin clueless.

I'll be amazed if they get rid of him. They gave Jones and Selles far too long, possibly Ralph too. Martin talks about being brave, SR need to be brave and get him out of the club.

Regardless of that fact, he is a professional footballer. Doesn't look to great for him when he goes back to West Ham if that's his attitude.
