An understanding of xG is also key. Seeing how many you might have scored, is just as good as actually scoring, getting points, not being relegated, not making staff redundant, not reducing finance for youth teams, women's team and not wallowing in the lower leagues for years. Just as good. 🙂

Promising youngster, Neil McCann, 48 ... 🙂 I remember him being linked with moves for years before finally leaving Scottish football for Saints. While he had injuries, he might have done better with an earlier move to help him improve.

My understanding is that everyone went into the meeting room, only to be ejected by stewards five minutes later. 🙂

My first thought was that it was going to be a spin off from the What is happening to our country thread, where Soggy had identified culprits and we'd get to vote on their punishment. Quite a let down in the end. 🙂

Bloomin' met office. The way they've used their influence to slowly take over Britain's energy infrastructure over the last 40 years has been shocking. Worse, we still have no clear near term implementation of fossil, renewable or nuclear. Because once the Met office took over, they then spent their time on forecasting cloud movements and giving travel updates. It's appalling and I feel for decades of clear sighted, selfless governments who would have otherwise never let any of this happen. 🙂
