  1. Went for a look and, according to link below:- 7th on shots per game and 7th for shots on target per game. https://www.whoscored.com/Regions/252/Tournaments/2/Seasons/8618/Stages/19793/TeamStatistics/England-Premier-League-2021-2022 9th on xG (1.53) and, while I was nosing, 12th on xGA (expected goals against 1.59). https://footystats.org/england/premier-league/xg 15th on the failed to score chart, where lower is better. https://footystats.org/england/premier-league/failed-to-score-table
  2. Just reading they were associated with QPR. But that QPR now have their own team, in the division below. So Hounslow impacted from that.
  3. I'd like an exciting summer. But also an exciting following season where all of the recruitment pays off. More likely to happen if you know what you're getting than several smaller, riskier investments. Here's hoping. Ralph's number two was on a coaching course. Ralph's an autocrat, so it's probably more of giving him better data/ ideas to pick from, than someone coming in and shaking up the relationships (although I think that would definitely help). Again, here's hoping. That's a lot of change.
  4. Never good, after seeing just how smart we have to be over the summer, and how many in the squad are replaceable, to hear that your head of scouting and recruitment is going. Can only hope moves for a lot of key targets are well under way. Leicester may be shopping at a different store from us, and have a different set of criteria/ targets. Hopefully, the club's sucession planning also extends to Glvoer and that we have a replacment in mind, if it's not going to be an internal switch. If we're really lucky, Glover will convince Leicester hat the players they need are all our deadwood, and they can join up with Vesty and Bertrand.
  5. Just reading that Ross County have a chance of European football next season. They have now climbed to 5th, and are in the top half of the split that league has. Vokins has 16 appearances to Ramsey's 8 (with Sims yet to play). Good experience for them, and a decent club relationship for us to have.
  6. From the Beeb's gossip page... Napoli have set their sights on 20-year-old Chelsea striker Armando Broja, with the Albania forward having impressed while on loan at Southampton this season. (Todofichajes - in Spanish
  7. Great strike. Some players beside themselves, and you can see just how much it means to them. Gutting for Watford though.
  8. Branfoot had a decent grasp of the planning permissions and costs of putting a football club, and ground, right next to another one. Less of a grasp on some other things... ๐Ÿ™‚
  9. Brilliant from all involved. I never thought we'd have such a convincing lead over Ipswich. We just never stopped.
  10. I was a little more anxious last season, until it was pointed out just how unlikely it was. While our recent form has been dreadful, we're in a better place than 500m blown Everton and back-to-their-natural-league big club Leeds.
  11. Shouty, psyched up Pickford saving with his face, is a good excuse to show his inspiration again:-
  12. Great to see them continuing to drive on. Keeps confidence high ahead of the big day.
  13. Forster, KWP, Perraud, Bednarek, Salisu, Romeu,JWP,Stu, Redmond, Adams, Broja. AA, Diallo and Tella most likely as subs. If Broja looks meh in training, then AA to start.
  14. He has plenty of experience in being an isolated striker, feeding off scraps. So settling in wouldn't be a problem. ๐Ÿ™‚Otherwise, no. He's a bit more AA than a Broja type replacement, for me. If waiting means we can get more in the door, I'd take that. Although it would be bumpier.
  15. We should keep him for the season after, then. ๐Ÿ™‚ Kidding, I'm kidding. It just popped into my mind...
  16. Richard Kizzbichlicher and >gasp< you can find Eric Black in his name! Kizzbichlicher out! ๐Ÿ™‚
  17. True. But it's a more balanced team shape of substandard, mentally weak players, prone to individual errors. ๐Ÿ™‚
  18. I just look at the selection and subs today. If it were a footballing rescue movie and all hero Shane Long had to do was score to save the hostages, they'd all die in a blazing inferno. He gets into roughly the right area of the park out of experience, not expectation. Even he clearly doesn't think he's ever going to score. He's the guy you bring on for nusiance value to see out a game, and he's good at that. If you're not picking Broja, then it's AA or even Tella to start there. Stu is also a starter. Having *both* Tella and Redmond is a light weight choice. It Stu and one of them or Mo. Having weakened our starting line up, Broja comes on only for Ralph to remove the one guy likely to give him some service in Adams. So we're left with Redmond and Tella for that, and that's not what either of them do. Another weakened set up. It was no surprise when Palace began to dominate. We don't have a lot on the bench to add steel to the midfield. Smallbone probably being the option if shiifting to 3 there. Broja offered a few good moments after coming on. But became isolated very quickly. Also, as it went on, he was miles away from getting up, with Redmond being by far the furtherst forward. So, Palace just kept coming at us. We didn't look as though we had any plan to counter Palace, and were limping it out for the draw. Ralph's pacing and pouting lip couldn't turn it around, and that more points dropped form a winning position. That's the disapointment. After all this time, and all those promising starts, we can't learn to see things out.
  19. Welll, that just sums up our performance this half.
  20. Whoops nearly between Fraser and Salisu
  21. Ooft. 0 from 2 for Stu.
