  1. With Livramento and Broja, I think the club are replacing CL with Premier League, in that statement, as being us.
  2. I think Grealish was key in a team that came up and stayed up, just. His rolling around got a lot of their chances. People will always like a player running at defences. In a different role, JWP has been in a squad doing well in the league; his improving form handily coming along as the squad quality dipped. Grealish might be more talismanic and getting people out of their seats. While JWP gets on with it. That might be a price difference. But JWP is worth just as much, if not more, to us.
  3. There are loads of worse keepers out there than AM, so stuck with seems a little harsh. Otherwise, totally agree. Forster (in current form) or an upgrade of same with AM in reserve would be okay. Up front needs the attention first, if Broja isn't staying.
  4. Always good to have the reminder of that one. Thanks MLG. I'd mention that I was replying to a post concerning the OS and you tube, but...🙂
  5. At fault for the goal, gets a booking for a rubbish challenge, then lucky to stay on after another foul. The ref then has a word to remind him he's about to get sent off after 5 mins. Neville backs him, wishing all the others could run around like headless chickens, getting cards. Lots of moans about his old club, but it would be so much worse if he was anywhere near it.
  6. Oh, That's another from Liverpool. I'm not even home yet, so I hope there's more to come...
  7. The former captain of my local team returned this season, and turned it round from the toss up. I'd not seen it there for ages, and there was a massive moan from the crowd at it. By massive, I mean both men *and* the dog. But it definitely has wind up potential.
  8. I noted they had the much maligned Phil Jones in the team. Credit to the fans for their support of Ronaldo.
  9. Radio the other night saying that the Championship had a number of very capable strikers. But both Mitrovic and Solanke have really struggled at a higher level. Pukki struggled again this season too. They mentioned Watkins too. He's 8 from 28 this season.
  10. Him staying would come as a surprise. Going by previous posts, we may well actively offer him a contract. But one at a lower level than he's on. Possibly by some way. As before, he will weigh up his options and go elsewhere if it offers a better deal for him. So, we may well look to offer something, but it may have the same outcome. How you feel about his wages, form, likely replacement quality and ongoing use will determine how much of a blow that is. 🙂 I'd not be upset by seeing him at #1 next season.
  11. Radio saying Man City have agreed terms with Haaland, although they've yet to meet Dortmund's valuation. All the stories I've read suggest a massive amount is getting paid to the agent, as part of the deal. So, there's one alternative to Broja for next season possibly unavailable. 🙂
  12. That would be ideal. We might have to rely on the OS letting us know the score well after the game has finished, if previous games are anything to go by.
  13. Radiophonic
  14. Thanks for posting that. Great to watch.
  15. That brought out a laugh in my train carriage on the way home. 😆
  16. I'd read that they could still have further deductions awaiting them. And the stadium is owned by the outgoing owner, and not the club. L1&2 did remove their wage cap proposals. so that might prevent yet another issue as they go down a level.
  17. I wonder if it's because we went through a spell where we had a few of them, so we relate to it more? 🙂
  18. That's Derby down.
  19. If it did unsettle him, then I'm not too upset about him being booed on the day. He's done nothing I'm aware of to deserve it, and a warm cheer when he got subbed would have been nice. Mind you, that could have been taken the wrong way too. 😊
  20. Saints welcome Bart Simpson to the club. While some fans voiced their concerns regarding having a fictional, cartoon character, between the sticks, the club were keen to promote their innovative transfer policy. "We're proud to bring in Bart to further strengthen Fred Flintstone in defence. Our thinking outside both the box, and our reality, will continue to bring value to the club." The club refused to be drawn on rumours of advanced negotiations with Melchester Rovers.
