Ankersen I think is CEO of sports Republic as a group. Should be plenty of overlap with DOF, which was jointly at Brentford.

While I'm sure it wasn't written without plenty of sources, he did spend his lockdown putting a book together. Unless my memory cell is faulty. I was thinking of it more as game tactics. It might well spread to a number of areas in the club. And there it would align with the key goals of the club: spend little, sell big, hope that the academy can produce some players, if not nab them as they're leaving other academies, look to nab the next Sancho. 🙂 I agree there's no reason why he couldn't step up. The issues he had previously would hopefully temper his relationship to the incoming manager. Normally, I'd be all over a resilient club structure. But when I read the post I was picturing Ralph arguing with the new guy, because he dumped the playbook early, when it clearly wasn't working, avoiding a crushing defeat and nicking a win. 🙂

I'd just like to offer support for fractional children. There's no reason why they can't grow up to have, if not round number xG, then certainly fractional xG. Hopefully Simeu will be able to push on from his loan spell.

Yeah, I see there are plenty of positives. I recall a la Liga club years ago saying that even the manager's departure was perfectly replaceable, as he fitted into an already well defined structure. That was Sevilla, back when Juandi Ramos was leaving for Spurs. It made a lot of sense not to constantly make sweeping changes. I'd probably prefer to see wherever are after the summer window, to see us progress more with Ralph's ideas. Recent results probably playing a part here.

🙂 Villa's Xavi. He's got a career out of it mostly at Champ level, but he was billed as something with a lot more. While JWP did make that progression, without the same level of fanfare.

Not sure I'd necessarily want Ralph in that role. One concern is that it compromises the effectiveness of the new manager. Ralph has had a lot of leeway and space to develop both him and the team in the role. The new manager may need the same, but find themselves with friction against the Ralph Ball playbook. We'd be commiting to that style, perhaps, and that's a big decision. One I'd need to think more about.

Yeah. I always like to thank them, even if it's on our fans forum, that they will never see. 🙂 It's incredible that a club with our resources can't send someone from their media team along with a camera/ shaky phone. Teirs of men's football, way down the pyramid manage to do it. But it's somehow beyond us for the women's team. And it was well worth the watch too. Shouldn't have to wait for a promotion to be getting on with even some basic coverage. That run down the left wing, going into added on time was great to watch. Shows the level of commitment they have, right to the end.

That's Full Time. Saints energy levels and work rate were too much for Huddersfield. We dominated more and more a sit went on. Congratulations to the team and management. And thanks to the people behind giving us a stream of the match.

Fantastic run right at the end. Deserved another.

Although we could get an offer for one of these, I'd see the more likely players in the squad to be:- GK - McCarthy FB - KWP, Livramento, Perraud, Small, Vokins CB - Bednarek, Lynaco, Stephens CM - JWP, Diallo, Smallbone 10 - Armstrong SC - Adams, Tella, Nlundulu Players with a year left, or on their way... GK - Forster, Caballero, Lewis FB - Ramsay CB - Salisu, Valery CM - Romeu 10 - Mo, Redmond, Djénépo, Walcott SC - Broja, Long We're got going to get loads for a lot of the outgoing players, with the lengh of contracts they have. No doubt, a fair number of them will still be with us next season. We'd be ridiculously short on numbers. I certainly hope so in Romeu' and Salisu's case, if extensions are signed. I don't think I'd want to see too many of the first group leave, as they are our key players. KWP and JWP are our stand out players, and losing them would be particularly tough. But I wonder if clubs are slightly less fearful of this scenario, due to Crystal Place's approach. The clubs can now show that wholesale changes *can* be made, without it falling apart. It gives them a bit more confidence when dealing with players. Our recruitment side will ahve to live up to its billing, in order to identify a number of players in what could be a very busy summer. If we do have some more wiggle room, as suggested in the take over, we could be doing this proactively.

controlled it well after going ahead. Didn;t allow them back into it.

Yeeees!

Give them too much respect and it could cost us. Go at them, and they could pick you off... Hang on, what's the sceanrio where it works in our favour again? 🙂

I hope he's back soon. Our next line up will be KWP - Salisu - Bednarek - Small, as we need to have one player in there to show off The Pathway.

Brighton will be disapointed not to have won that. I know as I'm really pleased we managed to get anything there. JWP really got us out of trouble. We had an odd line up, and apart from a spell int he second half we looked disjointed throughout. Salisu and Bednarek were dragged all over the place. Livramento looked slow (hope that doens;t turn out to be as serious as we fear). While Perraud made the team more balanced, March and other had the beating of him down that flank, which is a worry. Long is an intelligent player, but I never think anything that comes near him is going to go in. As the game went on Adams was able to hold up play well for others. That's one of the few ways we're likely to create. Broja was a handful when he came on, but Brighton were pushing us back by then. Tella nearly had a chance in the first half, but was fouled. In the second he had a couple of nice touches, before cramp got to him. Redond didn't have one of his better games. Lots to pick apart, and improve on. I didn;t see us getting 2 goals back, if it hadn;t have been for JWP.
