Conte: You can lose your identity if you rotate to much. He had mentioned the 2 games in quick sucession and the choice between stivking with tired players or making large scale rotation. He doesn't seem to trust his squad depth to do the job. Contrast to the changes Ralph made and their intensity.

He just ranted at his defence for all 5 they conceded to Arsenal. The defence didn't seem too bothered with him either. Not a good place to be.

Perry Groves: I did a little fist pump when JWP scored. Because I was a Southampton player. Well, I put on a Southampton shirt. Even if I was a complete waste of money. 😀

I teally hope so too. He was someone I was really hoping would break through to be a regular. We've 2 good RBs in front of him, but perhaps his versatility can open up other options.

Ralph: Super aggressive, super intense in first half. Gave away too many fouls, perhaps. But couldn't have been more proud. Second half did look to keep shape and play out where they could, but this was harder as legs tired. Looking for recovery after the two games in quick succession.

Valery interview: Message at half time was to fight, concentrate and to use their bodies. All that important as some players were tired after West Ham and some hadn't had much game time. Loves playing in the premier league.

Seeing squad players do so well, was also a big plus. So often, so many changes results in a disjointed performance, with added rustiness and whatever personal baggage from some players who already have one boot towards the exit bring. Not with us, where we were better 11 vs 11 (12 including the ref), and really well drilled in the second half. Says a lot about the training and spirit in the camp.

Really pleased to see the team's hard work earn them a point. It would have been gutting to have conceded, and they thoroughly deserved something.
