Will season ticket prices be released now and will you renew?
Dman replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
Removal from the stadium, removal of season tickets etc. As I said, 'safety' in numbers, if you can pull a couple of hundred I could see it being feasible, but the club are not going to allow smaller groups to just stand with no resistance. Like I said, its against stadium regulations. -
We've wasted 2-3 months. Naturally we'll never know what is going on behind the scenes, but it feels like we're behind the 8 ball. Coady would be a brilliant addition to any championship team and is the kind of CB we're dearly missing. He's captain material and up until a season or 2 ago was an England international (might need a fact check on that). Winks isn't shite, he'd be a huge improvement on Grimes (who we've been linked with). Steffen is much better than Bazaunu. I'll be amazed if they don't sign a striker and if we go head to head with them to sign Piroe, he aint coming here. They also managed to persuade a manager to join them that reported rejected us earlier in the window because 'he wants another season learning from Pep'.

No they wont, don't be so deluded. Its not about restricted views, its about safety. Unless the implement safe standing, you will not be allowed to stand. -
all that effort to look hipster and the scruffy bugger couldn't even be arsed to iron his shirt. 5/10.

Anyone else concerned that he doesn't have the experience to oversee the type of rebuild we need? Much like that little bald fella last summer, he has little to no experience of building a squad at a senior level. As we've seen, the success rate of good players at u-23's becoming good players at first team is pretty low. We massively need some know how and experience to compliment our younger players. It's even been acknowledged by our own players that was the case last summer, yet the only links we seem to be getting (very limited links for that matter) are more young and inexperienced gambles. We really seem a right mess at the minute.
-
Well, there's the title decided then. Big fight for second place. What are Leeds up to? Leicester building a very solid championship side full of experience. Meanwhile, we've spent the last 2 months fighting over 500k compensation for a very very average manager and have links to a few more kids to fill the creche

Absolutely wont be allowed to stand, neither will the 15 or so lads that have tried to get this movement going in block 15. Standing is against ground rules, the only reason the Northam and block 1/2 get away with it is down to the numbers making it impossible to police. The odd scattering of people standing will be told to sit or kicked out. -
Had the pleasure of meeting him a few times. He's a top bloke - Wasn't the right fit for us at this time and personally I think he rushed into taking the job. From the chats I had with him, he seemed to genuinely like the club and wanted to stay on (probably no surprise he wanted to stay on). I fear Reading will also be a bad move for him and again, rushing into taking a job. They seem a bit of a basket case of a club at the minute.

would be great in the championship. No worse than JWP, better than Grimes. Good addition for Leicester if they get him.
-
I wonder if we'd actually agree to not reduce his salary, if he agrees to stay for 1 more season..? Probably one of maybe 2 players who don't deserve a wage reduction and you'd expect we should be able to afford it with the big earners we'll inevitably shift. I think Brentford are one of the lowest payers in the league - that being said, I'm not sure JWP would move based on money alone..?
-
I actually know a fair few people who work / worked for Dyson and its apparently a terrible place to work in terms of business culture. In terms of a business though, they are pretty innovative and very functional. Perhaps exactly what we need - a bit of an arsehole running us.
-
would have worked with Rassmus at Brentford, i'd assume... but didn't he get the boot from Brentford due to disagreements in recruitment (i.e stats over old fashion scouting).. Also, think he could easily get another manager job in the champ / L1. In short, I can't see it
-
it feels very much like the Jones appointment. I think the result will be the same as well.
-
Martin has shown absolutely nothing to suggest he is a manager capable of promoting a side from L1 or the championship. Farke has done that. One step at a time - Get us up, then worry about what happens when we're up there. Martin is just SR trying to be smart... again.
-
The reason they sacked him was because they thought that Dean Smith would give them a better chance of staying up - He didn't and they've been largely shite ever since. I'd be much happier going into the season with Farke than I am Martin.
-
In a league which is probably the weakest its ever been. They wont finish 10th next season and if they do, they'll lose their manager. Fulham would be a ridiculous move for him, for the sake of not wanting to spend 1 season in the championship. Genuinely if I was him, I'd hold off for 1 season and see how we do. He'd be trading in being a captain, poster boy etc. for fucking Fulham or Brentford.
-
Great logic Ron, well done. To be fair, they've been flying since he left, haven't they.
-
Farke is way more qualified than Martin, especially at this level. Martin is a big risk - Farke wouldn't be.
-
Fulham 😂😂 Surely that has to be a load of shite.
-
I could see a world where they end up with McTominay and Phillips
-
Its ridiculous - If we're honest, Martin is a largely underwhelming appointment. Its obviously done. The players aren't even back from holiday - I don't see the clamour.
-
Fair - my misunderstanding then - sounds like we're on the same page where £45m feels like a sensible price point.
-
Politics aside.. Its a beautiful place - highly recommend visiting if you get a chance.
-
possibly its a smokescreen..? He knows we've really moved on and have Potter at staplewood holding that hideous shirt.. Keep the crowd thinking Martin is our target. Cue David Fizzy comment "do you think potter could really still be a target"
-
It can't be that bad for them... They've just appointed a manager who rejected us..
