meh, that’s elite level football. Without spending billions it’s impossible to compete, so fair play to them. The thing is, city have spent a fortune of course, but they’ve generally (Haaland aside) brought very, very, very good players who pep has improved and made elite. I like them.

Incredible how our useless pieces of shit are going to be the only fuckers stopping this side win the lot. We deserve relegation for that alone.
-
City have been absolutely phenomenal in both legs of this semi final. this deserved to be the final, the quality is beyond belief.

The anecdotes around Sam Edozie and Juan Larois Southampton transfer
Dman replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
Actually forgot all about Larios. Although seeing his name has now brought back memories of how painfully exploited he was against Everton. The poor sod looked like an U16 player. -
Yes, that one, well done. The one whose contract would be irrelevant if he wanted to Jack in playing and become a manager.
-
I wonder if the ‘ex player’ was Adam lallana..?
-
Agree to disagree I suppose. I think he’s a terrible player, nowhere near the level.
-
Agreed. Stick my kneck on the line, if we appoint him, it’ll end up a disaster.
-
What have you seen in him to suggest he’s anything but a load of shit? Genuinely comparative with Carrillo.
-
Has to be our number 1 choice if he comes up. Throw everything at him, who knows. Feels like we missed the boat though, I think when crooker was here we’d have stood a better chance given their links at the FA. We should have tried for him the summer!
-
I don’t think it was Beattie. I know for a fact, from the horses mouth, he’s been offering his services to the club for a while (I.e as a coach) but was told he’s not needed.
-
He’s dire. Can’t run, unfit, has no first touch. All round just a really really poor player. I can’t even recall him winning a header. Especially not as many as he should for his size.

Way outside of our reach now, but it’s clear we need a striker. I’d like for us to look at players performing across European top leagues rather than the championship. Really like the look of Vangelis Pavlidis, currently at AZ Alkmar. Pretty quick for a bigger lad and can finish. would expect to see him in one of europes big leagues fairly soon. Would have had more chance in January, when we wasted £18m on that fucking donkey Paul.
-
Would fit in very well with our bunch of weak minded cowards then.
-
Why on earth would the replace Mowbray after the season they’ve just had. Madness.
-
If we’re getting anyone from United I want it to be Amad Diallo. Would probably need to be a loan, but he’s been fantastic for Sunderland this season. Left footed right winger but can play across the front 3.
-
But the worlds biggest SR supporter (I.e mental manji) keeps telling us that Rasmus has taken a step back from recruitment
-
Disagree. We need someone to take us up and keep us up. I.e someone who can operate at PL level. Parker is well proven he cannot do that. Pointless appointing a manager for who would hopefully be 1 season.
-
I don’t think you’ll find many who disagree, but that is also the reason why we’re going down. Everyone always said if we need to rely on his goals we’re in trouble and that has proven to be spot on.
-
We need to some what manage our exceptions I think, Vieria is probably about as big a name as we can realistically expect. He’s also someone good enough to get us out the league and keep us up imo. Overall he done a decent job at Palace. It didn’t end too well, but I rarely does for managers. He suits the ‘possession based’ style we seem to want to move towards. He’s a winner and a bit of a hard cunt, so will give a few of these a kick up the arse. We’re a team in transition and need a big figure to lead it. He’d strike me as a bit of a Koeman type appointment.
-
All signs point to Vieira incoming
-
Why not though. It was clear, 4-5 weeks ago we needed a firefighter to stay up. Big Sam was an obvious choice and one who’d have kept us up. As a club we seem to think we’re above managers like Bjg Sam etc. now look where we find ourselves
-
Good statement from SR in my opinion. Confidence moving forwards. Clearly, Rasmus has made mistakes, but i Don’t think it’s fair to tarnish the money man and the other bloke with the same brush. We need a football person in, asap, let’s hope this new DOF is the right one.
-
Surely that’s really, really easy… It’s all a threat and won’t work in practice. The home clubs stewards man the doors, so unless they have some kind of collection point on the day (like England fans have to), then I don’t see how any of it is enforceable.

Feel like we could have Burnley’s pants down here, if I’m honest.
