Sometimes?! More like loads of times!

I watch gogglebox time to time as a quick way to preview shows. Saw Mel C on there....damn she's aged well. A few years older than me at 52 but looking good:
-
In fairness to Juric and Rusk, plenty of the damage was already done. Dont get me wrong they were shit too but a semi competent manager at the beginning of the season would have made a difference in my opinion. Not saying that Saints would have survived relegation by any means but they could at least put up more of a fight.
-
Yep agreed. Saw a midfield three and thought he would try to nullify Coventry's midfield and worked a treat. Also helps that Downes is getting back to the sort of form from the last stint in the championship. Definitely need to figure out how to do better against teams who defend deep and like to counter.
-
Great result. Played resolutely and neutralised Coventry completely. Now need to bring the same again against Norwich. Played well and compact throughout. Downes starting to look like the player we had last time in the Championship.
-
Yes, great start. Good follow up from Downes. Fingers crossed they can do it. Big test now.
-
3 man midfield, seems sensible. I can this game getting fiesty.

He was on fire (IMO) in the last season of the Championship until he got mullered by the Norwich player. Hopefully gets back to that level and he, as others have said, will be a great player at this level. Very odd how he has been bombed out and brought back again. I wonder if he will leave or will run down his contract in 2027.

If we had started the season with Peretz and Larin…

Depends would Still had still done the same? Seems like he really couldn't get anything across to the players and it was a mess. Same with Tonda, would he have started the season with 5 at the back....! -
I quite like the simpler newer terms like low block and transition. Use of language changes over time I guess as there are new sources of influences. Dont get me wrong, some is useless too.
-
Need to win tomorrow considering Wrexham beat Swansea and are 6 points ahead again.
-
Why do you think people believe Saints should play like Brazil? I think its more of a case of questioning why they've come up short against some real shitty teams / out of form ones (Oxofrd / Norwich etc) and producing a result. There have been some rubbish results under Tonda and Still. So is it a coaching question or players attitude? Either way I dont think its good enough.

Anyone who says Tonda is doing a great can do one. Lost to Oxford, Norwich and now draw with WBA who have all been bang out of form before playing Saints. -

This was my concern that Saints would be gassed tonight. -

Fucks sake. Take a shot! -
Yep agreed. I know peeps are saying under Tonda our form is great but it has to be done against the sides above us. A loss / draw against Millwall. Loss against Hull. A draw with Coventry being a player down for a chunk of the match. Its not great. As CB said if he gets the team playing like they did against and show the attitude from the Leicester comeback it could be a fun few weeks. Just hope the team isn't too flat today.
-
Bit harsh to say how the mighty have fallen. I thought it was getting older and losing a yard of pace.
-
Next batch of games are key for me. If he keeps the team results on par with the last several games, think we'll carry on till the end of season.
-
Yep, impressed that we have a keeper that communicates to the team. Agreed he's not perfect but a definite step up in McCarthy and Bazunu.
